Ben Hardy is standing backstage, waiting to start an interview, when all of a sudden "The Superior One" Tom Flesher walks in. He sneaks up behind Hardy and gives him an enormous, humongous, great, big shotei to the back of the head. Hardy crumbles to the ground and Flesher grabs the microphone.

 

"Well, it's been a long, hard... wait a minute. It's been a short and relatively easy rise through the ranks here at the SJL, but it hasn't been without its problems. Z gave me trouble... but, of course, we ended up friends. Danny Williams was an issue, but I think I've got him taken care of. And, of course, I got rid of one of the major threats when Shawn Brody decided he wanted to be on my side.

 

"But... wow. The SJL European Title. I never thought I'd be here, this high, this fast. I mean... FUCK. I'm a COLLEGE KID, and here I am not only wrestling for the SJL, but the number-one contender for the EUROPEAN GODDAM CHAMPIONSHIP! Holy crap..."

 

Flesher looks down, sees Hardy moving, and gives him a stiff kick to the ribs, muttering, "I've never liked that guy much."

 

"So when I look back... Danny Williams, Z, Ced... they're nothing compared with what I'm about to go for. They've all been worthy opponents, but this is a whole new level.

 

"Mike Van Siclen, you may be Amazing. You may be the European Champion, but I'll tell you something. You don't want it. Not the way I want it. You better bring your game face, your work boots, your magnetic insoles and your lucky jockstrap, because Mike, I'm gonna give you one hell of a fight. You're not walking out of the Blue Cross Arena with the European Title, Mike.

 

"I deserve this title. I'm capable of winning it. I've worked hard and I'm going to take it. But most of all, Mike... I want it. And I'll do anything to get it."

 

Flesher stiffs Hardy once more in the ribs, then drops the microphone and wanders back to his dressing room.

Zoom out, to see a slightly amused Mike Van Siclen looking at a now-pure-blue television screen, chuckling a bit.  He notices the cameraman watching him intently, and turns to it as he begins to speak.

 

"(Mike) Ah, Tom Flesher.  The self-proclaimed Superior One.  Always good for a laugh, if I do say so myself.  But, alas, I don't get much a laugh out of your latest promo, Tom.  Why no funny?  (Mockingly spoken) Why no t-shirt burning, Tom?  Please, Mr. Flesher, I want to see you cut a funny promo on someone.  I want you to tell me about your broomstick match that was ****7/8."

 

Mike smirks to himself.

 

"(Mike) No I don't.  And no, Flesher, please, spare me your 'I deserve' this title bullshit.  Because that's all it is, Tom.  You don't deserve anything.  And you know, I was about to say you haven't earned anything, either, but you have.  You earned yourself a shot at my European title, which, I must say, is commendable.  So, this Sunday, Easter Sunday, Tom Flesher, that's you, and Mike Van Siclen, the Amazin' one... that's me... will go one-on-one, toe-to-toe, for the European title.  And Tom, you say you deserve it.  You can't believe you're here, but, you deserve my title?"

 

Mike chuckles a little bit, then continues.

 

"(Mike) And you say... that I don't want my title as bad as you?  Fuck that.  You were right about one thing: You're on a whole new level now.  Ced?  Beaten him.  Z?  Worthless jobber.  Danny Williams?  C'mon, man, he's doesn't even deserve to tie my boot laces.  But you... you've earned your shot, something I must respect, and do.  But what do you do?  You come out, and you say that I don't want this title as bad as you do.  Well, you know what?  I actually earned this title, dammit.  I came back from a Stairway match against Shawn Brody, which I lost.  I had mace, blood, sweat, and yeah, tears in my eyes for the next two days.  And I was finally recovering when I arrived in Cleveland, Ohio, to take on THREE other men, ALL of them worthy competitors, for the European title.  And you know what I did?  I went out there, I won.  I still hurt from it, hell yeah I do.  My head?  Hurts like a bitch.  So, Tom, if you plan on piggybacking my injuries to win yourself the European title?  You shouldn't count on it.  And THAT'S... what I said."

Wow, these promo feuds are getting intense. Good job Flesher on the ignition, and good job to MVS on the pedal. I look forward to a Flesher/MVS feud if there is one.
