One of the wrestling "cliches" was broken today when Flair actually didn't get thrown off the top!  

 

When was the last time he did that successfully?  Wasn't it on Nitro against Russo or something?

no wonder he never actually does anything up top, whatever it was he did looked like shit.

I think the last time Flair hit anything from the top rope was in 1994 during a match with Barry Windham at Slamboree '94. Flair won the match with a flying cross-body block (Think of Ricky Steamboat's finisher) from the top rope. Or it may have been since June '94 against Hogan. Flair using a double axe-handle from the top. It's been a long time though.

He hit the Axe handle on Jarrett a while back on Nitro, when he won the WCW World Title.
