I Love the 70's

Ehhh, I probably won't watch. The 80s were so easy to make fun of, but that's why it worked so well. And for only 10 episodes they really got their money's worth.

Although that show gave me a new hatred for Michael Ian Black...the guy who tried to make a joke every time he talked, I don't think he did so well.

Plus no one knew the facts on the cocain/Delorian deal. Fact is the government was forcing him to move the coke and he even had them on tape threatening to kill his family if he talked. It's fact and yet all of those dumbasses just talked about him being a coke head...bothered me.

The 70's are just as easy to make fun of, if not more. But the cow of the 70's has already been milked.( That was a sucky analogy but it fit). I for one thought Michael Ian Black was funny 75% of the time he talked during I Love the 80's. About the DeLorean thing, it was supposed to a comedy mini series if you wanted insight you'd watch the History Channel not VH1.

The 70's have just as much stuff to make fun of as the 80's did.

This one should be just as good.

I understand that. But it just makes sense to have a clue what you're talking about when you're on camera.

I just don't think John Delorean's real story is widely known.

If you ask 10 people about him, I wouldn't be surprised if 9 didn't know the real deal.

Ummm, to prove your point, I guess, who's John Delorean?

Nah, I don't remember Rollins doing anything memorable except for tired rants against Reagenomics(sp?)

i don't know where else to put this, so i'll just express my excitement here:

HOLY SHIT! JEANNE MOREAU IS ON 'INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO'! HOLY SHIT, HOLY SHIT!!11

don't think i'll watch the 70s one, cause the whole fun of 'i love the 80s' was saying "oh yeah, i remember that, that was so stupid." but i wasn't around for the 70s, so the appeal is gone.

John Delorean was a car maker who did the Delorean, best known as the car from Back to the Future. Do a random yahoo serach and you'll find tons about him, trust me.

If they do I Love the 70's just like they did the '80's it should be very funny. They'll have to find a whole new group of people to talk to though. I think you'll lose the nostalgia factor with the younger generation, but I remember a lot of seventies stuff that leaked over to the '80's and even now. '70's t.v. shows, movies and music are everywhere, through in a little knowledge of modern history and you'll have no problems with the show. You might even learn something.

Henry Rollins' diatribe against Care Bears was genius. Black just told a bunch of uneeded gay jokes and was the only thing about the specials I didn't really care for.
