Who do you think had the stronger draft on RAW?

Ric Flair 50.72 %

Mr. McMahon 49.27 %

Total Votes: 296275

Copied and pasted from the WWF.com poll I just voted in. I voted for McMahon of course, but damn am I surprised by the data.

They are WWF.com Sheep. They always vote for Flair. It could have said

Whose name begins with "V?"

Vince McMahon

Ric Flair

And they would pick Flair.

Besides, being the fact that it's a poll dealing with a very touchy subject regarding the management of their product, I don't suppose that WWF.com would have tampered with it at all...

lance storm's been getting comments that 'raw' is the stronger show, so this isn't just a wwf.com fluke.

Look how damn close the poll results are. It's fixed. I would like to believe Flair got the stronger roster but even the marks would recognize the sucktitude of Big Show, Taker, Kane and the NWO in the same show week after week.

i don't think it was, i remember voting in that poll a day or 2 ago and raw was beating smackdown pretty substantially (like 55-45).

And I'll tell you what, that Benoit guy is going to bring down the show like Janet Reno naked and on display at a Porno Convention. ;)

Business wise it would be foolish to tamper with it. It will help guage the new direction and people's thoughts. I said in another thread 3 people who I talked to in passing about it rather thought the "brand extension" was unnecessary or that Flair had the better roster. So, we will see in the following weeks.

Honestly I don't see how Vince's picks were all that much "better".

I don't see what the internet is harping on about.

They are a bit better, but Flair's Raw isn't completely devoid of talented wrestlers.  Between RVD, probably Austin, Flair himself, the Hardyz, Taker and various others I think Raw will do pretty well...

I would expect Austin to go to Raw too, but then again will Vince want to split himself from Austin, considering what a long, succesful feud they've had?

Who knows what's going to happen.

Talent-wise Vince has the awesome roster and Flair has a bunch of old and lumbering losers.

Well yeah Raw has 5 or 6 good wrestlers, that's super. However the problem is that Smackdown only has around 5 or 6 shitty wrestlers. So I'd feel safe to say that at this point Vince's picks were much better.

Am I the only one that the fact that Flair's show IS the stronger show, in terms of titles? Flair's show will have the IC, Euro, AND Hardcore title defended on RAW, while Vince's show will only have the Tag and Cruiserweight titles defended on Smackdown...

...so in theory, when you look at it like that, Flair does have quite a strong show. By the way, don't say that the Hardcore title doesn't mean anything right now, because mark my words right now...

...they are about to MAKE the Hardcore title mean a hell of a lot, now that Raven has it and Dreamer looks to be feuding with him. Hell, look for that to be a type of "ECW" title if you will. I also look for the Cruiserweight title to mean more than it ever has in the WWF, and I think it will be a HUGE part of Vince's show.

But back to the point, in terms of titles, Flair's show IS the stronger of the two. (I didn't mention the Undisputed and Women's champion, as they will be on BOTH shows.)

Well the euro doesn't really mean shit so it doesn't make a difference no matter which show.

However title wise, IC and Hardcore vs. Tag titles and cruiserweight = advantage Raw at this point. But still titles don't mean much unless you have quality guys to wrestle for them. Unless Raw is going to be getting some FA's there just won't be enough quality matches for the belts.

You know what could've been interesting if they did it? Splitting the tag champions so that they'd still be tag champs yet able to defend on both shows. Sure it may be impossible to work that out in a feasible way, but it could've been interesting to see.

I don't understand at all what you are saying. First off, the Euro title DOES make a difference as to which show it is on. It is one of the "main" singles titles in the WWF, and that does indeed mean quite a bit. And talent...

...the WWF has plenty of talent on it to defend the three main belts they have. The hardcore division will be dominated by all of the ECW guys I expect, as I said before. I think that is the very reason for seemingly putting most of them on RAW. The Euro title will more than likely see Regal feuding with Bradshaw and/or D'Lo Brown, thus the reason for putting D'Lo on RAW. YOU may not get into a Regal/Bradshaw feud, but the casual fans sure as hell will, that is the very reason they have been building up Regal/APA for the past few shows if you ask me.

Then we have the IC title, what is there not to love in an RVD Vs. Booker T feud over that title? If not Booker T, we have X-Pac (even if you hate him, he could still bust out some **** matches with RVD), Brock Lesner, Mr. Perfect, Goldust,

Shawn Stasiak, etc... There is more than enough guys to bust out a WORTHWHILE IC division, which is MUCH more than I can say about the IC division for the past few months.

You know what could've been interesting if they did it? Splitting the tag champions so that they'd still be tag champs yet able to defend on both shows. Sure it may be impossible to work that out in a feasible way, but it could've been interesting to see.

I've thought about that idea a lot, and I would not like to see anything like that. The Tag Titles should STAY in one fed, this being Smackdown. But if you want to mention ANY division that is f'd up when it comes to lack of competion, then look no further than the Tag Team division. This just furthers my thinking that RAW is indeed the stronger show...

...I mean seriously, RAW has three singles titles, that anyone up and down the roster can go for. On RAW, they have ONE singles title, that being the Cruiserweight strap, and ONLY Cruisers can go for that, and they have the Tag straps, which as I said above, is lacking ANY competion at all.

I dunno about you, but all of this adds up to RAW being the stronger of the two if you ask me. Besides...

...RAW needs those titles, as it will be the show where they build up new stars, like Booker T, Lesner, RVD, etc..., etc...
