"I heard that he actually retired a few times due to a knee injury while wrestling in AJPW." He retired once from knee injuries then came back, started FMW and retired due to injury again in the mid 90's. Guest Thomas Moore Report post Posted April 25, 2002 Along with having a long career in Japan, Atsushi Onita also wrestled at times in Tennessee and Puerto Rico (both of which were territories known for bloody brawling, which probably influenced Onita's vision of FMW hardcore wrestling, and he really took "hardcore" to a next level).
