Guest pinkslut Report post Posted March 29, 2002 Cactus Jack mentions it a lot in ECW but what is it all about?
Guest notJames Report post Posted March 29, 2002 I might be stating the obvious, but since you asked... Uncle Eric refers to Eric Bischoff, one time head of WCW operations. When Mick was in ECW, he tried out a heel turn in which he lambasted the fans for their bloodlust and insistence on hardcore wrestling. He targeted Tommy Dreamer and said he'd beat the hardcore out of him. To raise the ire of the fans, he said he'd put a call into "Uncle Eric" and get Tommy into WCW (at the time, the antithesis of everything ECW stood for) if only to stop him from using hardcore wrestling. He even went so far as to wear a t-shirt with Bischoff's likeness on it. At one point, Dreamer pulled the shirt over Mick's head and wailed on him, so that it looked like he was actually hitting Bischoff. Mick goes into great deal about it in his first book, Have A Nice Day. Again, if I dumbed it down too much, sorry, but I figured better to say too much than leave you with more questions. Hope this helps.
