Playing/Recording DVDs

I have a few questions about watching and recording/copying DVDs from the Playstation 2 system.

 

1. When playing a WWE DVD (like Rebellion 2002 and Rey Mysterio 619), can I record them on my VCR while I'm playing them and will they come out in fine quality on the tape I'm recording onto...also, will that affect the quality of the DVD when I play the DVD in the future if I have copied/recorded to a blank tape on the VCR?

 

2. I know that movies and WWE DVDs play on the Playstation 2 with no problem at all, but will the older WWF PPV, WWF Superstar profile, and ECW DVDs play on the PS2 without a problem?
