Worst no-sell during a rumble?

Recommended Posts

Guest HartFan86

Here's a different topic,  but could turn into an intresting one. What was the most funniest, downright bad, or lamest "no-sell" during a Rumble? I can think of 2:

1. Jericho enterting the ring and Test kicks him, but Jericho keeps running towards the other side of the ring to get Edge. Test just looks at him.

2. Mr. Perfect kicks HHH in the leg, but HHH just keeps going on fighting someone else. The worst thing, Perfect actually SOLD IT and fell down.

Can you think of any?

Rumble 1993 - Hennig gives Flair this trademark snap neckbreaker that Flair totally no sells.

It's lame to no sell Test?

Hennig will sell anything, but hey, at least he's willing to take one for the team, unlike most headliners these days.

And Anglesault, if you hate Test, you must DESPISE Nash.

It wasn't really a no-sell, but it was a "late-sell":

During the 2001 RR(I think it was 2001, Drew Carey was in it), in the very beginning, it had Matt and Jeff in the ring at once. They decided to fight each other. There was one spot where Matt was turned around and Jeff was supposed to dropkick him. Jeff did the worst ever dropkick, it barely even touched Matt's back at all. Matt realised a bit later and he "sold" it. You could kinda hear the crowd boo after the spot.

Nash has charisma and could get over. I hate his wrestling though. It's about on par with Test

Well we might have conflicting opinions on this one, but i could have sworn that charisma is ability to get an audience interested in a match (A la Austin and Jericho), not bringing heat from behind-the-scenes into the ring, or living on old times (see: Cliq, entire nWo concept).

Oh, Nash isn't very charasmatic now, but a couple of years ago he was. Test never was.

I liked Test's little quarrel with Shane & the Posse, culminating in that cool Street Fight at Summerslam '99....its a guilty pleasure. Too bad Test then went on to be the worst person ever...

I can understand people not liking Test and thinking he sucks most of the time, but damnit how can you consider him a worst wrestler or part of a worst match when you have so much worse dead weight in the WWF and the wrestling world as a whole?

Because I don't feel any of that "deadweight" is worse than him

I think it was the 1994 Royal Rumble (could have been 1995, but sure it was 94) and it is Diesel's Rumble debut.  He is on a monster push.  He and Virgil are slugging it out and I think Virgil gives Nash a potatoe.  After the potatoe shot, Nash no sells Virgil next few punches.

Nash goes ape sh*t, feels his lips that are bleeding slightly, and unleases a barrage of potatoes on Virgil befopre dumping him out of the Rumble.

Funny.

OK, now go on record and say that youd rather watch the Boss Man, Godfather, X Pac and even the Hip Hop Hippo than watch Test.

I think it was 1999. Billy Gunn runs to the ring, slides under the ropes, and goes all the way to the other side of the ring. Tremendously funny.

Another incident was Ahmed Johnson getting eliminated at Rumble '98, and walking back to the dressing room. Kama Mustafa walks out, and shoves him. Ahmed goes to punch him, but Mustafa's already halfway to the aisle. Ahmed just kinda says "Aw fuck it." and walks away. To think he would once play Suge Knight.

At the same Rumble, Triple H helps Owen get eliminated. Owen chases Triple H back to the curtains, and then FALLS OFF THE RISER. Its so funny looking.

I don't like Test because ever since he looked like a pussy when HHH married Steph he's been pushed so many times and then changed or tweaked his character a week or two later in a new angle/push when it hasn't got him over. It's like Billy Gunn he looks good give him a push it fails give him another character and a push it fails again and again, but because they have the look that Vince likes or they've got friends in the back then instead of ending up on Jakked and Metal where Raven, The Hurricane and  many other talented wrestlers who've maybe been given one half arsed push, or fired like Jerry Lynn there they are on one of the two big shows week after week.

Saying that I'm starting to warm to Billy & Chuck

There must've been a dozen no-sells from Hogan in his Rumble appearences.... oooooh, you mean unintentional no-sells? Oh, never mind then

I would just like to say that I like Test, lol. The height of my liking of Test was when he had The Bossman's nightstick, and he would do an elbow drop off the top rope or off of whatever (when in the hardcore division) and hold the nightstick on his arm/elbow.
