Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted July 4, 2003 I figured, let's marvel at one another's work. I was looking through old promos of mine and figured I'd share them. This is a promo that I did for this blockbuster World Title match in the BWO. My Greatest RP
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Of mine, I'd have to go with the TFDB promo and the Howard Stern promo from recently this year. Let me go and find them. Howard Stern TFDB
Guest The Superstar Report post Posted July 5, 2003 That Howard Stern interview KICKS ASS. And, alas, I suck at writing promos so I have no memorable ones.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Frost, that Stern promo is still one of the best ever. Like, ever.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Hrmph... favorite I've been INVOLVED in? "Flip" by Annie... definitely. Aside from that, the Toaster one was just faboo... I'll find it in a bit.
Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted July 5, 2003 I wish I had my "Road Trip" series from the WFW saved somewhere... they were probably my favorites. My best one was called "The Walk" in the IRWC. that one was tearjerking

Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted July 5, 2003 It's tough. Some of my favorites are back on IGN--the stuff we wrote, sometimes as a group, during the Carnival's hey-day in the spring and summer of 2001. Can't get to any of that, and I actually have everything I've written for this fed on my laptop...but it's kinda not working, so I can't share any of that. But I will point to probably the best piece of writing I ever did for this thing, even if it's not as fun as the rest: In the Fade.
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Promos? I knew there was something i forgot to do in the almost two years i've been here...

Guest Ace309 Report post Posted July 7, 2003 The Magnificent Seven's New Years 2003 Party You know it's good because Z liked it. He fucking hates everything I do.
Guest Powerplay Report post Posted July 7, 2003 My personal best. The opener and 7th post down. Those were incredible fun to write because they were 1) Different 2) Seriously important 3) Were easy to write in a cinematic style (Something I wish I could do more often). I suppose I could dig up my first promo here, but I don't think it's as good as those two above.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted July 7, 2003 Ported over from IGN. This one was a group effort, and while I don't think it's the Midnight Carnival's best, per se, it's still one of my favorites. Just gives me a warm'n'fuzzy feeling. It takes place right before Crossfire (the Stable Title 9-man tag, among others), at a time when Xstasy became eXodus and was all like and King was all and we were all ... Yea... So here it is. Preparing for Battle! ... sort of...
Guest Beezel Report post Posted July 10, 2003 I should promo more in this persona, I really need to. However I fear that doing so would oust me from my hidden position. I'm a rather... unique writer, let us say. I'm still surprised my matches haven't forced me "out". ...however, just to name off some promos that have been done that I personally enjoyed: TNT's "Toaster" promo. Hilarious. I loved that one. A great way to show Frost no-selling... well everything! I believe it was Z who did the "Carnival Restaurant Heist" or something similar. I will always remember Z being the guy scooting around in the golf cart and making skidmarks as the rest of the Carnies hopped on. The writing of each of the Mag-7 guys playing off each other was also incredibly well done for someone that wasn't in the stable at all. Zenon impressed me greatly with this one. The writer of the promo escapes me, it was either Sarah or Annie because it was a woman, throwing darts in a bar. This also included Zenon if memory serves, or else I'm mixing promos. A bit heavy on the dialouge for my taste, but I remember at the time that it tied up a lot of loose ends for three people in a nice, neat little package. I'm a fan of tying up loose ends. For some reason, I enjoyed Munich's promo just as TBS got bumped, I thought that their feud could have been incredible, if it weren't for Munich becoming a jackoff. There was also a great joke when the jukebox started playing "My Sacrifice" by Creed, right as the WWF promos were so prevalent. "In the Fade" by Edwin was a heartwrencher, as we all saw one of the best go for what we knew was the last time. Edwin sewed some seeds of a possible return, very vaguely, but we all knew he was gone. Very sad, and I think it left the league in a bit of a funk for a few months until the Mag-7 appeared. Just some of the ones this old-timer remembers. I apologize if I put credit where it isn't due, as my memory isn't the best.

Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted July 11, 2003 The bar promo was Annie and the Mag 7 was already born when Edwin retired. In fact, TNT and I took the tag belts off of him and Raynor near the end of his run.
Guest Beezel Report post Posted July 11, 2003 @DeathAngel: Hello Ramirez @Frost: Just goes to show how awful my memory is. Apologies to Annie, Sarah, and all of the Carnival and Mag-7. And, I guess to Suicide King as well. Maybe Danny too, just in case.
Guest Insanityman Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Probably my favorite because I loved writing IL as an uncertain tweener and I had infinite fun writing Edwin. I have a few others that have a little place in my heart, but meh. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...ST&f=26&t=12049
