Guest BigPoppaKev Posted July 5, 2003 Report Posted July 5, 2003 I am sitting here watching Def Poetry on HBO right now and I really enjoy this show. Most of the poets actually bring a message to the show. I have great respect for someone who can seem their words together so smoothly. Anyone else enjoy this show as much as I do?

Guest BigPoppaKev Posted July 5, 2003 Report Posted July 5, 2003 The poetry format is excellent. Most of these people probably shy away from rapping because they have respect for the art of poetry. Sometimes the poems don't always rhyme but they are always very very well done. They have rappers sometimes appear on the show and other artists which adds some spark to the show.
