An IWS Press Release Internet Wrestling Syndicate http://www.syndicatewrestling.com Chomedey, Laval, Québec, CANADA Friday, July 4th, 2003 *FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE* Dru Onyx to face Sunny War Cloud Dru Onyx will fight an old enemy, Sunny War Cloud, for the IWS heavyweight title during Hardcore Heat, July 12th at Le Skratch in Chomedey Laval. Dru Onyx stunned Quebec wrestling fans when he challenged Canadian grappling legend Sunny War Cloud to a match during a press conference to unveil Onyx¹s new web-site: http://www.dru-onyx.com. Onyx declared, ³As champion, I¹ve beaten the best in the IWS and that means that I have beaten the best period. There is only one man in Quebec who is as good as the best in the IWS and that¹s Sunny War Cloud. So Sunny, you ready to come down from Quebec and try and take my belt away from me?² IWS President Seska confirmed that the match has been signed and that Dru Onyx will face Sunny War Cloud with the IWS heavyweight title on the line. President Seska also announced the indefinite suspension of the One Man War, Arsenal and the Sex Exxxpress, Sexxxy Eddy who came to blows back stage June 14th during Scarred For Life. Meanwhile, the IWS tag team champions Hi-5, who have been publicly campaigning to be be booked in the IWS main event, got their wish and immediately regretted it. Commissioner Joseph FitzMorris has signed as the co-main event for Hardcore Heat a tag team title match pitting the IWS champions, Beef Wellington and Kid Kamikaze against odd couple The Green Phantom and EXcesS69. In a match that has been brewing for months, Le Syndicat de Lutte Internet, Damian Duplessis and Viking Vachon will take on Los Latinos. After being beaten and deported by le SLI, Los Latinos have finally made it back to this country and they are out for revenge. Since Los Latinos have returned to Canada illegally, we can only hope that the Pride of Peru can elude the immigration authorities long enough to make it to the show on July 12th. While Quebec and Peru clash, Peter LaSalle, host of IWS-TV, has used his mysterious booking authority to arrange a battle between Japan and Mexico as Tijuana native, El Generico will pit his lucha libre skills against the puroresu power of Fabertown, Japan¹s Hardcore Ninja Number Two aka the Evil Ninja. President Seska promised that Darren Knife and Jeff Johnson will get another chance to finish their match and this time, all IWS wrestlers will be banned from ring side. She also announced that promising young Ontario grappler, Shane Simmons has been signed to the IWS roster and that he will make his debut at Hardcore Heat. Yeah you can blame good ol JR on your e-mail. If you want me to send my press releases to another address or not send them just reply to the e-mail with the details and I'll work it out. As another thought, if anyone has any questions about how things work from the "inside" of an independent wrestling fed, I would be happy to either answer the questions myself or get answers from IWS wrestlers, and if people want me to set up an interview or chat with one of the IWS guys let me know and I can set it up. (Some of the IWS guys would be easier to get than others. Beef Wellington for instance would be one hundred times easier for me to get for an interview than say the Green Phantom.)
