Guest DarthLordOfWrestling Report post Posted July 6, 2003 I was watching confdential yesterday for first time in months. They said Angle will be competing in the 2004 Olympic. If he is going to copete in the 2004 olympics then he should have left the WWE a long time ago to practice. Not to mention he just broke his neck.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 6, 2003 Can't blame him for trying to escape this shit
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 unfortunately... that confidential was done what 6 months ago last year? it originally aired the week where Bischoff gave the old WCW belt to HHH which started the fun n games. so you can kinda guess that this is either old news or he changed his mind. Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted July 6, 2003 RetroRob said that the "show is a rerun, so I get a mini- vacation." I don't know when it was originally broadcast, or whether plans have changed, or what.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 I think his surgery scrapped those plans. He would have been training by now.
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted July 6, 2003 Kurt Angle was thinking about going to the Olympics last year. If he was going he would have had to leave in December to start training. Vince McMahon convinced him to stay and gave him another world title reign. It would have been better for him to go to the Olympics, because then he wouldn't have broken his neck wrestling. Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted July 6, 2003 Actually, he broke his neck originally training for the 96 Olympics, and it had been bothering him for a long time. Staying in WWE in 2003 and wrestling injured it further, injuring a few more discs and compounding his old neck problems. Staying though allowed him to hear about Dr. Joh, who he may not have heard about otherwise. For now, it seems his neck is better than ever. So at least in that respect he's better off. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 6, 2003 but doesn't he have to get more surgery? I thought that was the idea of the Jho surgery...That he would need more in future time...(I'm sure they won't take him out any longer this this one did...It's likely akin to a Scraping out Bone Spurs or something minor like that)
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 He would have had to leave by this past January in order to get in proper training. Also, it's quite obvious that last night's Confidential was a rerun. The "History of the World Championship" is on the Confidential DVD.
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted July 6, 2003 As stated, last night's show was a re run. Angle would have been training month's ago otherwise. I believe he decided against it even before this last neck injury.
