I was just watching the UPN 9 news, and it is now my opinion that The University of Michigan RULES!  They now offer a course called "Simpsons 101," which is an analysis of the show and its characters.  The only class that could be cooler is a class about pro wrestling...

Wow.  That's really cool and sort of frightening at the same time.  While "The Simpsons" is a pretty complex show compared to, say, "Titus" or something equally reprehensible, I can't really see what they would teach in a class on it.  Subtle pop culture references?  The history of couch gags in western civilization?  Will the two episode guides be textbooks?  It boggles the mind.

I go to U of M....but its not the Ann Arbor campus, its the Flint one.  Guess I'm gonna have to transfer.

Actually, they said the analysis of the show is so complex that TWO professors teach the class at the same time.

This is not the first Simpsons class I've heard about, and it would be damn cool.

Now, I must use this information, because one of my professors has been talking about putting together a Simpsons class before, and maybe this will convince him!
