Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Did they explain why there were no Goldberg, HHH, La Resistance, or Eric Bischoff on this show? Bischoff I can understand (selling the injury). But really, why were the other 4 not there? Considering one is the World Champ, two are the Tag Champs, and one is a top star....
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 HHH was on Heat...and I'm guessing because "Bischoff is recovering"....and Dupree/Grenier would of gotten cheered. Who the hell knows about Goldberg. Maybe possiblity of being booed for ending Bret's career? Dunno.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted July 8, 2003 HHH was on Heat. They're obviously trying to improve the ratings there to unprecedented levels. Like a 1.
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted July 8, 2003 I did not hear an explanation given. I thought maybe I missed it if they said something about HHH, as he's the champ and all.

Like a 1.0 There's WWE logic for you; using Triple H to improve ratings. The title isn't on the line, and Maven has no chance in hell of winning. Yeah, I'll waste my time by watching it.... Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted July 8, 2003 HHH was on heat? Did he not find the man in the boat this week?
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Goldberg isn't well liked in Canada and he ended Bret Hart's career- so they were playing it safe. HHH and Le Resistance have been explained. I think they took Steiner off the show since Montreal HATES him as well
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): WWE Sunday Night Heat Tapings (to air 7/13): Scott Steiner defeated Ruffy Silverstein Triple H defeated Maven (Yes, Triple H was on SN Heat) La Resistance defeated Bobby Rude & Textbook Credit to Wrestleview.com. Guest CronoT Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Okay- They're definetley busting out the canned noise for HEAT Yep, that showing is going to be video toaster'd like crazy.
Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Why isn't everyone happy that Triple H is on Heat? I'm thinking this might mean he's being demoted. I bet after he loses the title in a few weeks they'll start spiraling his credibility all to hell. Secondary show is always a sign of death for a big star. Ruffy Silvenstein AND Bobby Rude are on Heat? Whoa. Kind of obvious, but I liked that.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Not nessesarly. A lot of top end stars have appeared on Heat. I think they just want to make Heat a show that people will actually watch.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 I've always liked the idea of putting big stars on the second hand shows...it obviously will attract more viewers. And dude, HHH ain't getting demoted for a while.
Guest CronoT Report post Posted July 8, 2003 The only kind of demotion Levesque has to worry about for now is having to do the dishes.
Guest acnx Report post Posted July 8, 2003 The only kind of demotion Levesque has to worry about for now is having to do the dishes. Just trying to pop the ratings a bit. I usually watch heat for the hell of it, but one full week without seeing HHH makes me all giddy.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 I've been wondering when they'd finally put HHH off of RAW completely. As ratings continue to fall, HHH has been moved from all over the show to only in the main event in recent weeks. The main event and overrun always draw the highest rating...and then he can't be blamed for the rest of the show anymore. I like this way even better. I can miss Heat
