Guest BoboBrazil Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 -Pierre-Carl Ouelet (formerly Jean-Pierre Lafitte of The Quebecers in WWE) received a dark match tryout at Monday's Raw... -Mark Jindrak made a bad impression on road agents at the house shows this past weekend due to poor connection with the crowd during his matches. As a result, there is serious second-guessing the original plans to make him the fourth member of Evolution -The fact that the crowd at Smackdown last week cheered for heel John Cena against babyface Billy Gunn may derail the plans for Gunn to end up as U.S. Champion. Chris Benoit was also considered at one point, but Gunn ended up the designated tourney winner at least headed into last week's Smackdown... -The main event of Vengeance has been announced as Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle vs. Big Show in a three-way for the WWE Title. The match was said to be Angle's idea, and the reaction in some circles is that Angle is now playing political games. Those who came to this conclusion accuse Angle of adding Big Show to the match so that he either won't have to do the job (which means Brock would pin Big Show), or he'd pin Big Show, setting up a logical title defense against Brock (who he didn't beat to win the title) at SummerSlam. In the second scenario, Angle can turn around and look like a bigger babyface by offering Lesnar a rematch at SummerSlam while pointing out that Lesnar never actually lost the match.

Something is wrong. Also, I feel bad for Jindrak. It's not his fault no one reacts to him, it's not like the guy has any kind of character at all, beyond being completely unknown to anyone who didn't watch WCW. I say make Rico the 4th member of Evolution. Yeah, it makes no sense. But it would slightly amuse me.

Bullshit, if WWE actually listened to crowd reactions there are about 20000 things we wouldn't have been put through in the past 6 months -The main event of Vengeance has been announced as Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle vs. Big Show in a three-way for the WWE Title. That politicking bastard. He's trying to make his storyline logical!!! Who does he think he is?? He thinks it would be a good idea for someone not involved in the future main event program to do the job and wants his own future actions in the feud to make sense?? Pffft, get over yourself you Kevin Nash wannabe.....

When has he NOT been a worthless waste of air?

Guest Choken One Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Who HASN'T played political games? Ah yes...Benoit. Unless you count WCW 2000...but he needed the help of Eddy, Perry and Dean to get the motivation to do it...
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 There's "good politicking" and "bad politicking". In this case w/ Angle, it would be "good".
Guest The Old Me Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 -Pierre-Carl Ouelet (formerly Jean-Pierre Lafitte of The Quebecers in WWE) received a dark match tryout at Monday's Raw... Ya know, I was just thinking, "the WWE needs a pirate."
Guest Goodear Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Oulette would be a decent midcarder and as an extra added bonus, he doesn't look exactly like everyone else they bring into the company nowadays. Seriously, can you tell Chris Nowitski, Jindrak, and Garrison Cade apart?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Nowinski has a face mask That's about it As for Angle's "politicing", all he's doing os trying to get them to build up to a big money match. That's it. Now if he decides to pull a power play and refuse to job to Lesnar at SS, then there's a legit beef.
Guest Dillon Likes Bossman Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Hahaha, Rochester screws Billy Gunn.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 SPOILER WARNING Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Chris Benoit, Billy Gunn, Matt Hardy, and Eddie Guerrero are the final four remaining in the tournament to crown a new WWE US Champion. Both Billy Gunn and Chris Benoit have been expected to win the belt at various points. Some now feel that Guerrero could win due to management's decision to pull him from the tag ranks. It would be logical for WWE to have the US Title holder be a heel since the WWE Champion is a face. This seems to favor Hardy or Guerrero. Credit: PWTorch.com
Guest Repo Man jr Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Don't suppose anyone knows why Carl Ouelet left in the first place? I always dug the Pirate thing and thought he was pretty good overall.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 I'm still hoping for a Hardy victory with the help of a returning Lita at Vengeance.
JasonX Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Don't suppose anyone knows why Carl Ouelet left in the first place? I always dug the Pirate thing and thought he was pretty good overall. IIRC he fell victim to the Clique, specificly Kevin Nash....

The fact that he's nothing special in the ring at all doesn't help matters any either.

Guest JMA Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Pierre Ouelet could be a semi-active worker and a manager/trainer of La Resistance. I think it would work out well.
