Guest Bruin Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 It's a good game, the multiplayer is great, and the Marine single player will scare the shit out of you at times. While using the newest version of the lithtech engine, its doesn't have the greatest graphics. Of course, with the kind of gameplay AvP2 brings to the table, it doesn't matter. (Lithtech engine isn't that bad, it's a great engine, but pales in comparison to the Q3 and Unreal engines.) They did an amazing job of putting in a terrific atmosphere into the game, and it truly shows. They take a good chunk of various things from the movies, which is really cool at times. However, AvP2 falls into the most recent trend of games that don't have very good support for modem users trying to use multiplayer. Giving most modem users a ping of around 500, which is just horrible at times. But thats fairly excuseable for the single player.
