The hell with jay's video games reviews

2 days ago I bought Legends of Wrestling after reading Jay's rant on it. I sold my SD3 disc to buy this one. My opinion on the game...

 

The Create a Legend mode is fine for those who don't want to spend 3 hours choosing eybrows and eyes. Too bad you cannot even choose the face! Anyway, I like the idea of Creating a *fat* steve austing. Plus the fact the Acclaim inserted a few known names like Hall, Roberts, Williams into the name selection is cool for me. The sad part? you can choose moves... but cannot choose the fucking finisher. So you might create a perfect Undertaker... but not his finisher.

 

You can design your own logo, but if you're not perfetc in the color detail you'll have wasted a half hour writing 3:16 all over the place.

 

The wrestler roster is great, but I like the idea of creating a ppv and no, you can't in this game. It's match... loading... loading... match... loading... loading... match... you get it, alright?

 

pulling off moves is almost impossible since your power meter will vanish if you're not fast enough. Too bad I really don't know nor care what Eddie Gilbert's finisher was so I don't know how to pull it off.

 

Frankly, as of right now I feel robbed by Playstation 2. 2 wrestling games in the span of a month and tons of wasted money. All I'm asking for is a ppv mode and a decent CAW mode.

 

Legends wins over SD3 just for pure sheer markdom on my part (I like the idea of a walking Dynamite Kid ) but without a ppv mode the game fails on other levels.

You can choose his finisher.  You have to manually assign it to be a finisher.  Then, you can name it in the profile section.  You can get around the one face problem if you just edit the looks of an existing wrestler.  Did you play the game for any real length of time?

Man, I didn't mean o offend anyone, I wasn't knocking your review, just think it was kinda markish... what do you mean put the move MNANUALLY? you mean I have to write it in the profile section?

NO, you assign a move to be a finisher when you go through the moves for your character.  You can later rename the move via the profile section.

the hell in the sense of "forget about it" or, in Italian speaking "fuggeddaboit". I liked your review, it was just a funny title to my topic. You see it's not like I opened a new thread thinking "wow, I'll piss Jay off!".

 

But then again, seems to me like you're acting like an ass. if you're full of yourself then it's not my problem at all. my rant sucks? well, who cares, I expressed my feelings about the game. I guess those guys that bought the game undestood what I'm trying to say.
