Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 He was the overall number one seed for a reason folks. The Joker downs Magneto 14-6. Feel free to discuss the results of the final round and the tourney as a whole in this thread. I was going to do a babes of comic books tourney, but think I might give it a rest for awhile. If you would like to see that tournament though, let me know. You know, the greatest hero should have the greatest villain.
Guest Steviekick Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 The Joker is definitely the greatest comic book villain on so many levels. He's very recognizable outside the comic book readers world. As a character, he is so multi dimensional...depending on who is writing him, he can appear sympathetic, entertaining, psychotic, or pure evil, but all in a way that reflects the original character. I'm very happy this was the outcome of the tournie. You know, the greatest hero should have the greatest villain. Very appropriate and the best way to sum everything up.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 As the Joker always been the same person?
Guest Mattdotcom Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 Yeah*, but no one knows his real name. *I'm sure some other people have dressed up like the Joker, like in The Killing Joke, but its always been the same person in the long run.
Guest Goodear Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 If you want Deacon, I can take over the balloting for the next tornement. If you want to hold over the babes tornement, I could do a teams version.
Guest JMA Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 The Joker does have MANY alias, though. My favorite one is "Joseph Kerr."
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Ejiro, if you're inclined, do a teams tourney and then we'll see what mood I'm in and I might do the babes tournament when yours is over.
