Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 10, 2003 It is April 1st, 1998. Wrestlemania has just occured and the Era of Stone Cold is about to begin. But one man, isn't so happy about this development, and that is Vincent K. McMahon. But Vince has an ace up his sleeve, and that ace is the recently released Ric Flair. Flair, who was released from WCW for skipping a Nitro to go watch his son Reid compete in an amateur wrestling tournament, was told by Vince over the phone that he was the perfect man to be his "Corporate Champion". Flair has yet to debut, and the Austin-Flair feud will begin soon. Also on this day, Vince received what he thought to be an April Fool's Day joke when his son Shane and his daughter Stephanie called him and told him they were leaving the WWF to start their own promotion and compete directly with him. This promotion? World Wrestling Entertainment. With no wrestlers under contract, and no TV deal, they were taking quite a risk. But can the McMahon children mount a serious threat? With WCW nipping at his heels and ECW steadily rising in popularity, and promotions such as the NWA and the XPW opening their doors for business, Vince had a reason to sweat. He decided to hand the reins of the creative direction of his company to a man who had impressed him with letters and emails describing what HE would do to keep the company on top. That man...........JAXLMORRISON! Also, as new head of personnel, JAxl made several moves on his firsr day of work.........namely the release or firing of 31 talents! Citing reasons such as "creative doesn't know what to do with them" to "drug and alcohol abuse" to "lack of wrestling talent and refusal to be demoted to Ohio Valley Wrestling", the following wrestlers were given their pink slip: 8 Ball, Barry Windham, Brakus, Brian Christopher, Brooklyn Brawler, Chainz, Erin O' Grady, Gangrel, Glen Kulka, Harvey Wippleman, Henry Godwinn, Jesus Castillo, Jose Estrada Jr., Justin Bradshaw, Kama Mustafa, Mark Henry, Miguel Perez, Mosh, Mr. Aguila, Paul Ellering, Phineas Godwinn, Prince Albert, Recon, Rico Constantino, Scott Putski, Shawn Stasiak, Skull, Sniper, Steve Bradley, Tiger Ali Singh, and Tom Brandi Now some may say this wasn't a wise decision, with all the new promotions looking for talent, but JAxl wasn't sure if any of those he had let go had any talent to speak of anyway. On his first day he also announced the following talents were signing exclusively to the World Wrestling Federation. Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, Former WWF superstar Sean Waltman aka X-Pac, and Japanese sensation The Great Muta Also, he announced the signings of the following wrestlers to Ohio Valley wrestling to be trained under under the watchful eye of Jim Ross. Former WCW Cruiserweight Blitzkrieg, Independent Superstar Christopher Daniels, Japanese high flyer Hayabusa, Japanese Hardcore Legend Masato Tanaka, Former ECW Tag Champion Stevie Richards, Mexican Wrestling Icon Vampiro, and Japanese superstar Yoshihiro Tajiri. Obviously Jaxl has a plethora of talent under his regime. His roster of active superstars includes: Ahmed Johnson, Animal, Bart Gunn, Billy Gunn, Bob Holly, Brother Love, Cactus Jack, Carl Ouelette, Chainsaw Charlie, Chyna, Dan Severn, D-Lo Brown, Faarooq, Goldust, Hawk, Honky Tonk Man, Triple H, The Jackyl, Jacques Rougeau, Jim Cornette, Jeff Jarrett, Kane, Ken Shamrock, Kurt Angle, Marc Mero, Owen Hart, Paul Bearer, Ric Flair, Ricky Morton, Road Dogg, Robert Gibson, The Rock, Sable, Savio Vega, Sgt. Slaughter, Shawn Micheals, Steve Austin, Steve Blackman, Sunny, Taka Michinoku, Terri Runnels, The Great Muta, The Undertaker, Vader and X-Pac. But how will he book all these talents, keep them happy and keep feds such as WCW and WWE from taking the top spot in the business? Watch and find out! Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 10, 2003 April 6th, 1998 MONDAY NIGHT RAW!! Segment 1: Interview with Vince McMahon "No Chance" hits, and out walks Vince McMahon to a chorus of boos. He stays on the ramp, and takes a mic out of his pocket. "Austin! I've made it very very clear in my interviews that I did not want a foul mouthed, beer swilling, Texas redneck like you to represent the organization my father created, and the one I built into a monster! I've made it very clear that I don't like you personally, and I've made it very clear that every day that WWF Championship belt sits around your waist, it drops in value. And I can't sit back and watch that happen. I love this organization, and despite what the fans think, I have their best interests at heart. The WWF Chmapionship is the pinnacle, the top of the mountain, what every professional wrestler has ever strived for. And with you as it's current owner, you are killing any mystique the title once had! So, I sat after Wrestlemania, and I thought, and I planned, and I plotted. Who could Vince McMahon find who could defeat "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and restore dignity to the WWF? Shawn Michaels? He proved last night quite frankly, that he didn't have what it took to get the job done. The Undertaker or Kane? Too wrapped up in their own personal rivalry to focus. And Austin, I know how good you are.believe it or not. I have watched you rise from a WCW castoff to now the #1 man in the business. So I thought, who could knock Austin from the top spot in the WWF? Well, it would have to be someone who had been there before, right? Maybe somewhere who's been to the top of the mountain........14 times? Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for the next WWF Champion of the World......"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair! Flair's music hits, and out he struts, in what appear to be a very expensive suit. The crowd is WHOOing, and Ric looks happy. "WHOOOOOOOOO! Back in the WWF baby! Ya know, it feels good to be appreciated, and it feels go to be somewhere where I feel I can show the fans just what Ric Flair is all about! I left that low rent organization down south, and decided to come back to what all of us wrestlers know is the show! I got a call from my man Vinnie Mac, and Vinnie Mac tells me all isn't well in the WWF. He tells me he's got a pretender to Ric Flair's throne up here calling himself the champion. Well, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, you couldn't shine my boots when we were together in WCW! In fact, you ducked me! You want to be the man, Austin, you gotta beat the man, and the only thing you can beat when I'm around is you meat buddy, while I take your wife for a ride on Space Mountain. The fact of the matter is, me and you got a date with destiny my friend. And that date is at Unforgiven, with your gold on the line. I wouldn't put your pride out there, cause I am going to take that too when I show you, WHOOOOO, what styling and profiling is all about jack! When I slap on that Figure 4 leg lock, and you're crying "Please Mr. Flair! Please let me go, I can't take it!" then I will have done my job. The WWF title will be around the waist of someone who can hold it with the proper dignity it deserves, and you will have learned never to cross Vince McMahon." Segment #2: JAxlMorrison is at his desk backstage. "Well, I hope you tuned in tonight, cause what 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair said was correct. This IS the show. More surprises are around the corner, plus the best wrestling from the best damn wrestlers in the world. What other wrestling show can you find that has 3 major titles on the line! Tonight, Steve Austin defends his World Championship for the 1st time against European Champion Triple H! The Intercontinental Champion The Rock defends his title against the man who defeated his brother last night, The Undertaker! And in a rematch from Wrestlemania, The World Tag Team Championship is on the line in a Ladder match as Cactus Jack and Terry Funk take on the New Age Outlaws! Enjoy the Show!" Segment #3: The Shooters vs. The Rock N Roll Express The Shooters consist of Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman. It is basically a squash and it end with Robert Gibson tapping out to Shamrock's anklelock. Segment #4: Interview with Owen Hart Owen is backstage with a mic. "Ya know, I kind of feel like I got ripped off last night. I would be crowned the new European Champion if not for the interference of Chyna. But that's fine. I'm not going to complain, I'm not gonna piss and moan about how I got screwed. That's not Owen Hart's way. You beat me in the middle of the ring Hunter, but you're the one who's got to sleep at night knowing how you achieved that victory. Enough with the past, onto the present. There is another champion in the WWF who just rubs me the wrong way. I like to think that I represent good, hard wrestling, where there's a winner and a loser and the fans go home satisfied. But this guy, he's all about the glitz and glamour, and his $500 shirts, and I don't think he's has a clean victory in his life. I am talking about the Intercontinental Champion, The Rock! Rocky, I want a shot at your gold! And if you're a man, you will grant me that shot cause I know I have earned it. Unless you're afraid. Cause there's a guy out there who ended you last IC title reign with a clean victory. And his name is Owen Hart. I'll be waiting for your response, pretty boy." Segment #5: Scorpio vs. "Wildman" Marc Mero Scorpio is his return from injury is coming down to ringside surrounded by Funkettes! He is dressed to the 9s, still sporting the old Flash Funk pimp wear and he looks great! He is announced at 226 pounds, a career low. A decent matchup, Mero almost had it won, but missed his "Wild Thang" shooting star press, and Scorpio capitalized with the 450 for the pin. Afterwards, Mero picked up referee Tim White and hit him with a fireman's carry into a neckbreaker, which is known as the TKO. Heel turn anyone? Segment #6: Interview with Jeff Jarrett Jarrett's in the ring when we return from commercial break. "When I returned to the WWF from WCW I was told I would have world class competition waiting for me. I was told I could wrestle and not be saddled with a stupid gimmick. What happens? Vince McMahon tries to make me into a country singer AGAIN! I am sick of this <bleep>! Jeff Jarrett is not a circus sideshow act, he is a goddamn wrestler! Is it that McMahon is afraid I will beat all his top stars? I've been around the world, held many major championships, and I am beginning to think there is nothing left out there. At least anyone who's got the nuts to step into the ring with me. Now, if........... Out of the crowd, a figure in a black robe and white tights jumps into the ring, spins Jarrett around and spits red mist into his face! Jarrett rolls out of the ring in agony, and the figure removes the robe to reveal......THE GREAT MUTA! Apparently someone does have the "nuts" to take on Jeff Jarrett. Segment #7: WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Cactus Jack/Chainsaw Charlie vs. The New Age Outlaws 4 star matchup! This one went back and forth, with all the guys taking spectacular bumps off the ladders. In the end though, Cactus took the Nestea plunge through a table at ringside, and Funk took a spike piledriver, and Gunn climbed the ladder to regian the title. New Champions, The N.A.O! Afterwards, Cactus returned to the ring to try and console a shooken Terry Funk, but Funk spit in his face for his trouble and walked off, leaving Cactus looking shocked. Segment #8: HHH Interview We go backstage where HHH is in his locker room getting ready for his match with Austin. "I was told, and heard as did all the fans that Shawn Michaels, 'The Backbreak Kid' was going to be here tonight. Maybe he lost his smile again, I don't know. The fact is, he hasn't shown up, and the tides are turning here in Degeneration X. One guy pulled his weight at Wrestlemania and that was me. And Owen Hart? You're right, you better move on to other things, cause I beat you so many times, I was getting bored with it. Tonight, I go into the ring with the WWF champion, and I will compete for this sport's highest honor. And I will walk out of the ring having done something that Shawn Michaels could never do. Defeat Steve Austin. As far as DX goes, tonight, and next week on Heat you will be seeing some new faces in the best damn faction in the game today. DX is going to be the best of the best, the elite. It will not however be a broken down group of old has beens. Maybe Shawn, you should go join our old friends down south in the retirement home where you belong." Segment #9: INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: The Rock vs. The Undertaker Another 4 star affair! It looked like we were going to see title change #2 tonight until Kane interfered with a vicious chair shot on the Taker, leaving him prone for a Rock bottom and the 1,2,3. Afterwards Kane came into the ring and hit his older brother with 3 tombstones, a receipt for Wrestlemania. Segment #10: Interview with Steve Austin Austin's in his locker room, lacing his boots for the main event. "You know, deep down, I am a fan of this business just like each and every one of you in the arena, and all of you watching at home. So, I have to admit, it was shocking to me to see Ric Flair on my monitor here backstage. I mean Ric Flair, the man's been THE man for the past 20 years in our sport. But then, I came outta my funk, and I thought to myself, 'That's right.......he's been around for 20 years.' Ya know Ric, you've been hanging on for dear life for a very long time. You were the same way when I was in WCW. You say I ducked you? I say I was well on my way to whooping your ass, until I tope my triceps and got a termination notice in the mail. You're a legend Ric, but you know what happens to legends? They die. And I think it might be 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's job to take you out behind the house and put one behind your ear like the old washed up mutt that you are. You've never been on the receiving end of a 'Stone Cold Stunner' and I bet you wish now you were smart enough to stay down south where you would've had it easy. Look into these eyes Ric. Does it look like Steve Austin is gonna make anything easy for you?" Segment #11: WORLD TITLE MATCH: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Triple H ****1/2 MATCH OF THE NIGHT. Before the match began, Austin insisted that it be contested under "Falls Count Anywhere" rules. A 20 minute slugfest that saw Vince McMahon come down to the ring and drag Austin out only to get leveled with a Stunner. While this was going on, HBK came out of the crowd and superkicked HHH unconcious! Austin saw the opportunity and took it, gaining the 1,2,3 from an unlikely ally in Shawn Michaels. As Austin went up the ramp he was met by a smiling Ric Flair, who handed him a contract for a match at Unforgiven. Austin signed it and Flair WHOOed and walked backstage with Austin looking on with disgust.
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 10, 2003 April 7, 1998 The WWF is proud to annouce it was victorious last night over Monday Nitro in the ratings war, with a score of 6.05 to 5.67. The debuts of Ric Flair and the Great Muta, plus the world class matches involving Austin and HHH, Maivia and The Undertaker, and Cactus/Funk vs. The N.A.O. have proven that the WWF is the #1 wrestling organization in the world. The WWF regrets to announce the firing of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, the Rock N Roll Express. Getting up there in years, these two formerly talented stars were given what may have been their final chance by the WWF. But, their unprofessional behavior in last night's match against Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman proved that they are not worth our time, or our loyal fans time. Best of luck to them in the future. The WWF also wish to annouce that the WWF European title is being retired. Held by such all time greats as The British Bulldog, Shawn Michaels, HHH and Owen Hart, the WWF feels that it was an unneccesary upper midcard title, a void which the I-C title already fills. It will be replaced by the brand new WWF Television championship. This title is around strictly to give the younger talent a time to shine, and it will be defended exclusively on WWF Shotgun. The vacancy of this title will be filled this Saturday Night! Who will compete for it? Tune in to find out! April 9th, 1998 The WWF has a few open slots on it's roster that it took the time to fill today. We are proud to announce the signing of young prospect Rhino Richards. This young brawler has competed in Canadian independents with other members of our OVW farm league, so he should be comfortable as he trains there. We await his debut, as he can contribute to a division which will be covered in a second. We are also proud to announce the signing of independent superstar Devon Storm. Storm has been given a few tryout bouts here, and has also been seen in ECW and WCW. We feel that with the right amount of seasoning in OVW, he could be one of the top three guys in the business within 2 years. And finally, keeping with the recent influx of Japanese talent into the company recently, the WWF is elated to sign a man who could become the cornerstone of our rejuvenated Light Heavyweight Division. This man has held titles all over the world, and his name is held in the highest regard. Very soon you will see......Jushin "Thunder" Liger! We know he will be worth the hype, so keep an eye of your TV screen. Also, the WWF recognizes the trends and the cycles in the business. We recognize the fact that in the past 2 to 3 years, a lot of the fans out there respect the Light Heavyweight aspect of the sport, and a lot of people respect the Hardcore aspect of the sport. So, to add to our growing Light Heavyweight division, we are going to develop a Hardcore division! This week on Heat, the Hardcore Title will have it's first holder. The competitors? Legendary death match tournament regulars, and Hardcore legends.......Cactus Jack and his tag team partner Terry Funk. Tune in to Heat to see what will surely be a bloody battle! April 11, 1998 The WWF is proud to announce the moving of Shotgun Saturday Night on Fox from a 1 AM timeslot, to an 11 PM timeslot. This will increase the possibility of viewers more the 70%. So tune in tonight to the revamped Shotgun, as the new WWF Television title will find itself around the waist of the first ever champion! Who's set to compete for this belt? It's being kept hush hush..........Also, The Great Muta makes his in ring debut, and Terry Funk said he wanted to prepare for his match with Cactus Jack on Heat, so the WWF gave him a Falls Count Anywhere match with.......Kane? Tune in for all this and much more!

Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 10, 2003 April 11, 1998 SHOTGUN SATURDAY NIGHT Segment #1: Kurt Angle's Debut Music hits.....it sounds like the Patriot's old song? Oh, the much hyped Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle makes his WWF debut, and he's got a mic. "Hello, WWF fans! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Kurt Angle, 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist in the sport of wrestling, and the first real athlete to step into a WWF ring. Notice I said the 'sport' of wrestling. Because you see, it is well known throughout the amateur ranks, that this stuff is a sham. Hell even you people know it's fake, and you're fans of it! Talk about gullible. Well you can throw fake out the window, because now I am here to show these phonies what it's like to be in the ring with a real athlete and with a real wrestler. And I start my ass kickings right now, with any man who thinks he is fit to challenge me! More unfamiliar music hits, and it's........D-Lo Brown! I smell a face turn coming on........... "Nice to meet you Kurt. And you're fresh from rolling around on the ground, humping other guys I see. But hey.....it's that's your deal, that's cool, whatever. But I will not sit here and listen to you badmouth the sport I love. So what I am gonna do right now is come down there and show you just how hard it can be in the WWF. Oh, by the way, I was talking to the head honcho back there, and he told me to bring this WWF TV title with me! It seems this match is for the gold that counts my friend!" With that, D-Lo heads for the ring and we head for a commercial break. Segment #2: WWF TELEVISION TITLE: Kurt Angle vs. D-Lo Brown Good 5-7 minute match. D-Lo seemed thrown off by Angle's amateur style, and fell prey to a reverse fireman's carry maneuver called the Angle Slam. Match got a good reaction from the crowd for guys they were so unfamiliar with. Good debut for the new TV champ, Kurt Angle! Segment #3: Jeff Jarrett bumps into Gorilla Monsoon "Hey just the guy I was looking for. Weren't you ther last scout we sent to Japan Monsoon!" "Well, I wasn't really scouting, I was over there to........." "ENOUGH! It's your fault that slanty eyed, painted face havin' moron, The Great Muta is here! It's your fault I was embarassed live on Raw! You sent the tapes over to talent relations didn't you!" "Get your hands off of me Jarrett! You should be thanking me! You bitched about no competition, well here ya go!" "Here I go? No, here you go, old man!" With that, Jarrett begins choking the much older Monsoon until The Great Muta pulls him off and sprays him with mist again! Jarrett crumbles to the ground cursing, and once Monsoon recovers, he kicks him the ribs and walks off. Segment #4: The Great Muta vs. Carl Ouelette In Muta's WWF debut, he was splendid. Thoroughly dominating, except when he got caught in one powerslam, Muta wins with a Shining Wizard right on the mark. As he celebrates, a recovered Jeff Jarrett slides into the ring and blasts him with a guitar! Segment #5: Interview with The Rock "Owen Hart, Owen Hart. I gotta take a page from Triple H here and say, when will this nugget be flushed. Get it through your skull bro. Nobody wants you here. Nobody wanted your brother Bret here, and look what happened to him. He's in exile in a promotion that is a year away from folding. You want a shot at The Rock's Intercontinental title? I recommend retirement for you first. Go home to Canada, to your wife and kids before you get hurt out there. You may have beat The Rock once, but The Rock was green as grass back then. And The Rock still gave you a contest. Imagine how bad I am gonna bring it now? You want the match, you got the match.........if..........you defeat an opponent of my choosing tomorrow night on Heat. I know you'll say yes, cause you're just that thickheaded and stupid. The Rock will see you tomorrow night." Segment #6: Kane vs. Terry Funk At ***, the match of the night. Terry put up a hell of a fight against the monster Kane. At the end, Kane hit him with a chokeslam, and seemed poised to deliver another. Instead, Cactus Jack came in and blasted Kane with a chairshot, but he popped right back up. As he reared back to deliver another, Kane pulled Funk in his way, and Cactus busted him wide open. Kane clotheslined Jack out of the ring, delivered a tombstone and got the 1,2,3. Afterwards, Cactus tried to help up Terry again, only to be spit on just like on Raw! This time however, he answered with a fist and the two brawled as the show went off the air.
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 10, 2003 April 12, 1998 The WWF is ecstatic with the ratings it received for the first showing of Shotgun in it's new timeslot. On a night where two other wrestling programs air, Shotgun earned itself a 4.87 ratings. Hat's off to the debuting Kurt Angle, The Great Muta, Kane and Terry Funk for providing us with one hell of a show. Also of note, the WWF is proud to announce the return to the fold of two veterans. Former WWF Superstar "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, and former WWF Tag Team Champion Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart will be coming in to work with the younger talent for a few weeks. Best of luck to both of them in earning a full time contract. Now, tonight on HEAT!!!!! Taka Michinoku defends his Light Heavyweight Title against an unnamed opponent. Why is Triple H laughing everytime this is mentioned? Owen Hart faces an opponent of The Rock's choosing to earn himself a shot at The Rock's Intercontinental title at Unforgiven.......but who will The Rock pick? To become the Inaugural Hardcore Champion, Cactus Jack and Terry Funk must face off in the most demonic structure in Federation history.......the Hell in The Cell! What will happen when these two Hardcore legends put it all on the line? And in his first match since Wrestlemania, Shawn Michaels will be facing Jeff Jarrett. Both these men have a reason to watch their backs, Jarrett from new WWF star The Great Muta, and HBK from HHH, who has promised that DX will become even better tonight! Tune in! Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 10, 2003 April 12, 1998 SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT Segment #1: X-Pac's return The DX music hits, and out comes HHH to the ring with a mic. "You know, on Raw I had mentioned something about DX becoming stronger that night, then a new member would be introduced on Heat. Well, I had two new members all set and ready to help me put a hurting on Steve Austin that night, but the interference of Shawn Michaels threw a monkey wrench into the works. So consider those guys 'players to be named later'. You'll see them sooner rather then later though, rest assured. But, I am a man of my word, and I promised a big surprise tonight. You know, on a personal note, it's been a sad state of affairs for me around here since, about, oh, June of 1996. You see, I lost a few good friends because of money, because of personal problems, and I took the heat for a lot of their actions here. But this guy here, unlike Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash or Scott Hall, this guy never did me wrong. Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce to you, Sean Waltman! Now known as X-PAC! DX music again, and X-Pac comes out crotch chopping away until he enter the ring and grabs the mic. "You know Hunter, it's good to be back home. After a year of all that bull <bleep> down south, after hearing Hulk Hogan say I was gone cause I couldn't cut the mustard? Try busting your ass like I do Hulk, try breaking your neck, then getting fired while injured. It was bull <bleep> and you and Eric Bischoff are both bull <bleep>. So I get a call from Triple H here, the next big thing in this business, and my personal best friend, and he says to me 'Yo pac? We got problems at home here' and he's telling me that Shawn Michaels just isn't the man he once was. So he came to me to put DX to another level just like I did with the nWo. Well Hunter, I'm here man, and let me tell you, the WWF is never going to be the same. First things first though. I see while I was gone, the WWF decided it was time to start up a Light Heavyweight division. Well who is the original Light Heavyweight superstar around here? As the 1-2-3 Kid I was doing <bleep> no one had ever seen before on WWF television. So, whoever the champion is back there, what's his name? Michinoclue? I got a ladder waiting boss, and I say me and you get it on for the strap right now? What's it gonna be?" HHH and X-Pac are left waiting as we head off to commercial break. And when we come back.......... Segment #2: WWF Light Heavyweight Title: Taka Michinoku vs. X-Pac (Ladder Match) The crowd didn't seem to react to Taka at all, which concerned some of the agents in the back. The match wasn't what is could've been cause of that lack of crowd reaction. Pac takes it tho, after applying his Buzzkiller submission until Taka was unconcious, then ascending the ladder. New Champ: X-Pac Segment #3: The Rock brings out Owen's opponent When we come back from commercial, Owen is in the ring waiting, and The Rock appears on the Titantron "You know Owen, The Rock was really hoping you'd learned. The Rock really wanted you to go home to your family before you got permanently injured. But apparently you want The Rock to lay the smackdown all over your candy ass. It's unlikely that will happen though, since you have to get through the opponent of my choice. And The Rock chose a great one.......not as great as The Rock mind you, but close. He's a former World Heavyweight Champion, and if you ask JR, he'll tell you all about this man's football accomplishments. The last surviving member of the Nation...........FAAROOQ!" Segment #4: Owen Hart vs. Faarooq An excellent 10-12 minute matchup, with The Rock staying on the Titan tron and providing live commentary. The end comes with Faarooq goes for the Dominator, but Owen flips out, drops him and locks on the Sharpshooter. Easy submission. As he celebrates, The Rock attacks, laying him out with a vicious Rock Bottom. When Faarooq stands and offers his hand to The Rock, he gets the same treatment. Another Rock bottom, this time to the already weary Faarooq. Segment #5: Interview with Cactus Jack Cactus is in his locker room, pacing. "You know, when I was approached to be in this match to determine the first WWF Hardcore champion, I figured, sure, why not? The legacy of Mick Foley is already defined by cages, by thumbtacks, by barbed wire, by tables, by chairs. And by God, I am the damn best at all of it! I was the King Of The Deathmatch, and I was a Hardcore Legend in ECW. But when they told me my opponent would be Terry Funk, I almost wanted to back out. You see, despite how we have been on television lately, Terry and I are the best of friends. Terry's a little ornery sometimes, but that's just him, and I accept it. And now I ask him to accept the fact that I may have to end his career tonight, just for history's sake. You've done it all Terry, you've been World Champion on a number of occasions, and you're a worldwide legend. You were in Over The Top for God's sake! Who could forget that? So I'm asking you not to hate me when I put an end to it all in the Hell in The Cell." Segment #6: WWF Hardcore Title: Cactus Jack vs. Terry Funk (hell in a cell) Not as good as expected. Jack wins the match when he slams Terry through the roof of the cage down onto the mat and gets the pin. Funk may need some time off after this one. Winner and first ever Hardcore Champion: Cactus Jack! Segment #7: Interview with Ric Flair This is a taped interview with Flair sitting by his pool sipping on a Martini. "Steve Austin. Hmmmmmm. I remember a guy name of Steve Austin. He had this long blond hair, he was a wannabe pretty boy, almost like a Ric Flair lite. "Stunning" Steve was his name. He has this manager Lady Blossom, I think that was his wife. Look at you now Steve. Where's your hair? Hell man, what happened to that wife of yours, you talk about a prime piece. And I know from experience pal, trust me. Why do you think she left? Why settle for chip steak when you can have filet mignon, ya know? And now I am expected to believe you turned from this primping, preening, wanna be 'Nature Boy', into the 'Toughest SOB in the WWF'? Nah, it don't hold water with me Steve. I've been in the ring with the best and I have always come out on top in the end. I look as good as I did 20 years ago, and I wrestle as well. Time stands still when you're Ric Flair, my friend. To me, it's just 1983 again, ,and you're just another Harley Race. I will take your leg out from under you, I will use all the tricks of the trade that have made me millions, and I will slap my Figure 4 on you. And there's not a damn thing you can do about it. WHOOOOOOOOO" Segment #8: Shawn Michaels vs. Jeff Jarrett At ***1/2, the match of the night. Good back and forth action til HBK got Jarrett down and set up for the Superkick. HHH and X-Pac exploded from the back and started beating Michaels down. HHH held a chair in front of HBK's head and Pac spin kicked it, busting him wide open. Then two guys in masks came down and joined in on the beating. The show goes off the air with a view of Michael's bloody head.
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 11, 2003 April 13, 1998 Sunday Night Heat received a rating of 5.15 last night, on the strength of Shawn Michaels' first match since Wrestlemania, a vicious Hardcore Title match in the Hell In The Cell between Cactus Jack and Terry Funk, and the return to the WWF of X-Pac. The WWF is pleased with the performances of all of these individuals. Due to the poor crowd response to his Light Heavyweight title defense, Taka Michinoku has been sent down to OVW for the time being to work on his abilities to work the crowd. Best of luck to Taka and we hope to see him return soon. Tonight on RAW! A Triple Threat match to determine the #1 contenders to World Tag Team Champions, The New Age Outlaws! Competing in this match will be The Shooters, The Quebecers and The New Midnight Express. Also, the NAO is in action, defending their titles against former champions, the legendary Legion Of Doom! Owen Hart has laid down another open challenge tonight, hoping The Rock would accept, but instead he's going to have to face former European Champion, Triple H! Will HHH reveal who the other two members of DX are tonight? And will Shawn Michaels be looking for revenge? Also tonight, Ric Flair competes in his first WWF match since 1993. His opponent? The Phenom himself, The Undertaker! Cactus Jack will be there as well to discuss his victory last night on Heat to become the first ever Hardcore champion! And finally, in our main event, another WWF World title defense for Steve Austin! After his victory over Terry Funk on Shotgun, the championship committee has granted Kane a shot at the greatest title in the world! All this and much more, tune into RAW tonight! Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 11, 2003 April 13, 1998 RAW IS WAR Segment #1: Interview with Vince McMahon and Ric Flair Vince and Flair come out to the ring, and Flair has the mic first. "Tonight, you WWF fans have the distinct pleasure, and honor, of watching the greatest wrestler of all time wrestle in front of you once again. Now, some people, including my close personal advisor, Vince McMahon here, have told me it was in my best interests to wait until Unforgiven to step into the squared circle once again, to rest up for Austin. I say, screw that! 'The Nature Boy' has wrestled from town to town, doing 60 minute matches for his entire career, and to rest wouldn't be my style. So tonight, I requested that the booking committee give me a match, give me someone who could take me to the limit! And they put me up against......The Undertaker! Now Taker, if you remember correctly, and I know you do, you and I used to team up for a common goal. I helped you win you first WWF title, without me, you would've disappeared from the wrestling landscape years ago! Tonight, I am going to give you the kind of competition you have been sorely lacking since I left the WWF. Keep a close watch Steve Austin, because what I do to the Undertaker tonight, when I style and profile all over that ring and make him scream in pain........that will be nothing compared to what is going to happen to you when you face 'The Real World Champon', Ric Flair, at Unforgiven. WHOOOOOOOO!" Flair hands the microphone to Vince "You see Steve, I warned you not to bite the hand that feeds you. If you would've chosen to cooperate, you and I could've enjoyed a successful business relationship for years. But you had to be 'the rebel'. You had to be 'the Texas Rattlesnake'. You could've simply been a great champion, but no, you had to push the buttons of Vince McMahon. So I brought in a man who will bring the prestige to the WWF title that is deserves. And at Unforgiven I will be sitting ringside, and enjoying myself as Ric Flair beats you from pillar to post." Segment #2: The Shooters vs. The Quebecers vs. The New Midnight Express In a match to determine who will receive a WWF Tag Team title shot, The Shooters continued their dominance eliminating both teams easily within 6 minutes. After Blackman pinned Rougeau with a vicious jumping kick, Sunny appeared on the rampway, apparently scouting him and Shamrock. WINNERS: The Shooters Segment #3: Cactus Jack Interview Cactus is in the ring when we come back from commercial, holding his Hardcore championship over his shoulder. "For those of you who took the time to watch Heat last night, I know me and Terry tried to provide you with a hellacious contest, and I hope we succeeded. Terry's at home recovering right now, nothing major, the old dog's just a little shooken up. We've mended our fences, and if I have anything to say about it, me and The Funker will tag again in the very near future. Now, as far as this Hardcore championship goes, I've been told you will see me defending it almost every week on Heat. And I will be a fighting champion! As Mankind, as Dude Love, I have never ducked a fight. And certainly not as Cactus Jack. There's a contract backstage, with my signature on one side, and an empty line on the other. And that contract is for Unforgiven. So if anyone back there thinks there are hardcore enough to take on.........." With that, Vader comes out of the crowd and levels Cactus with a vicious clothesline from behind. He picks up the Hardcore title and waffles him with it when he gets up! Jack has been busted wide open! Vader then clotheslines him out of the ring and follows him out. He sets Cactus up for a powerbomb on the concrete! And he delivers it! Good Lord, you could hear his head smack the cement! Jack is down, and Vader is posing for the crowd.......I guess we know who will sign that contract.......... Segment #4: WWF Tag Team Titles: The New Age Outlaws vs. The Legion Of Doom The LOD didn't seem to be cooperating with each other very well, with Animal refusing to make tags. Hawk walked out on him, and the NAO capitalized with a spike piledriver to win the match easily. WINNER: New Age Outlaws Segment #5: Hype Video for Jushin Liger A video played to a warm reception of highlights from Japan of Liger's career thus far. Segment #6: Owen Hart vs. Triple H In a rematch from Wrestlemania, these two may have topped that contest, going back and forth for about 15 minutes. But once again, HBK cost HHH a match by dragging him out of the ring and hitting a superkick, then rolling him back in. Owen gets the pin easily. WINNER: Owen Hart Segment #7: Shawn Michaels Interview Shawn gets stopped backstage by interviewer Kevin Kelly "Shawn, word is you want to face Triple H at Unforgiven......has that match been signed?" "As far as I know, not yet. But if HBK has anything to say about it, the match will be on, and I will show that pretender to my throne, HHH, that I am the one true showstopper in this business. He's been riding my coattails for years, hell the boy can barely wipe his ass by himself, but I guess Chyna takes care out that for him. So Triple H..........." At that, HHH nails Michaels from behind with a chair to the back. He starts stomping away, and joining him in his attack is.......The New Age Outlaws? They stomp away at Michaels and HHH takes the mic away from Kelly. "As you may now have learned Shawn, don't mess with the best. And it's clear that DX is the best. It's only a matter of time until I beat you ass in that ring Shawn, and until then I recommend you stay out of my matches or this will be the result every single time. Road Dogg? Bad Ass? Welcome to DX!" Segment #8: Ric Flair vs. The Undertaker A wonderful 20 minute affair, proving to everyone that Flair hasn't lost a step, and that the WWF has lit a spark under his ass by giving him this opportunity to showcase his skills. Taker became distracted however, when his brother Kane appeared at ringside. Flair chopped him out of the ring, and Kane tombstoned him on the floor. Taker was then counted out. WINNER: Ric Flair by CO Segment #9: Interview with Paul Bearer and Kane As Bearer speaks from backstage, Kane reappears at his side "You see Undertaker, Kane will not stop. He will not stop until you are in a wheelchair or dead! And at Unforgiven, my son will prove that your victory at Wrestlemania was just a fluke! And as for you, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin! Feast your eyes on your future! Kane is indestructible, and he wants that WWF gold to make his daddy proud! Don't you Kane?" Kane puts the speaking device up to his throat "Austin.......Taker.......you are both already dead in my eyes." Segment #10: WWF Title Match: Steve Austin vs. Kane Another knock down, drag out affair that saw Austin kick out of a vicious choke slam, and Kane survive one Stunner, when Paul Bearer pulled the ref out of the ring. When that happened, Ric Flair entered the ring with a chair, but missed Austin and nailed Kane. A Stunner later and it was over! The show goes off the air with Austin giving Flair the finger and Flair looking very pissed off. WINNER: Steve Austin
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 13, 2003 April 14, 1998 The WWF is proud to announce another ratings victory over Monday Nitro, with RAW receiving a 6.10 and Nitro receiving a 5.90. Kudos are due to Steve Austin and Kane for putting on one hell of a World title match, and to Ric Flair and The Undertaker who put on a a brawl that many consider the match of the night. Also, thanks to Cactus Jack and Vader for pulling off a vicious angle that is sure to keep the viewers coming back for more. The WWF is proud to annouce two signings today. First, the signing to a long term contract of 19 year old Jamie Noble. Noble has been compared to a young Dynamite Kid, and he will be assigned to OVW immediately to work under Jim Ross. With enough seasoning, this kid could be an unforgettable name in the future. Also, the WWF has signed a veteran of the hardcore game, and a former World Tag Team Champion on many occasions, International Superstar, Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy. He will most likely be on television as soon as possible. And finally, due to their unprofessional behavior in their match last night on RAW, the Legion of Doom will now be forced to compete against each other on Shotgun Saturday Night.......in a Loser Leaves Town Match!
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 13, 2003 April 18, 1998 Tonight on Shotgun! The first ever WWF Television Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle has issued an open challenge. Don't these guys ever learn not to do that? Oddly enough when word of this reached the locker room, the only voice heard to answer said "HOOOOOOOOOO!" As was previously announced, due to their unprofessional behavior on RAW, the Legion Of Doom is being forced to fight each other in a Texas Death Match! The loser will be released from the WWF roster. The WWF also wishes to make clear that this decision was not forced on the LOD, they were given the opportunity to leave together. The idea of a Loser Leaves Town Texas Death Match was brought up by Road Warrior Hawk. Best of luck to both men. And in our main even, in the his quest to gain revenge on Triple H, Shawn Michaels has vowed to go through his associates in DX, one by one. And that starts tonight on Shotgun when HBK takes on one half of the World Tag Team Champions, "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn. Tune in for all this and so much more! Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 13, 2003 April 18, 1998 SHOTGUN SATURDAY NIGHT Segment #1: Kurt Angle Issues An Open Challenge When we begin the show, Angle is approaching the ring with a microphone, and the new WWF Television title around his waist. "Well, I tried to tell you people. A man with my background and credentials cannot and will not be defeated by these subpar 'brawlers'. I can't even call them wrestlers. I can't even call this wrestling! All I know is, I came in here, and I dismantled D-Lo Brown on my first night. Heck, I even won a championship in my first match ever! Who else in the history of the WWF has done that? I mean, it's sort of an honor and all. Not quite on the level on an accomplisment like winning Olympic Gold is, but really, what can compare to that? Either way, I promise to be a fighting champion and to defend this prestigious, now that I hold it.......prestigious, World Television Championship against the best the WWF has to offer! Why are you booing me? How dare you boo someone who fought in the Olympics for you, with a broken freakin neck! I am an American hero gosh darn it! An American Hero! And you better............" Angle gets interrupted as the returning "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan comes out from the back! "Wait just a second there tough guy! I think the American people choose their heroes, they don't want to have a jerk like you representing them! Now if you want to call yourself an American Hero, and you want to be considered a fighting champion, how about giving old 'Hacksaw' a shot at you and your title!" Angle is in the ring laughing "You? This the best competiton the WWF has to offer? Good Lord! You look like you just left happy hour somewhere and just happened to stumble into the arena! You got your tongue hanging out of your mouth like some kind of moron.......you know what? I will fight you! Just to prove that I am the true American Hero around here, I represent these people, not some fat, out of shape, over the hill, braindead fool like you!" Segment #2: WWF TV Title: Kurt Angle vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan Duggan's vicious clotheslines and shoulder tackles had Kurt off balance for a while. In the end, Duggan locked on a bearhug which Angle reversed into a vicious overhead Belly to Belly suplex. He hit the Angle Slam, and that was all she wrote. Afterwards, Angle knocked Duggan unconcious with shot to the head with his title belt, and then began waving Duggan's flag to a chorus of boos. WINNER: Kurt Angle Segment #3: Interview with Scorpio Scorpio comes down to the ring surrounded by The Funkettes. "You know, I hear the gossip in the locker room, I read the columns on the internet, and I am reading that a lot of people think Scorp Dogg is in the best shape of his career. That maybe, just maybe I might finally reach the potential the fans have thought I possessed since 1992. Well to that, I say, maybe just maybe, this is the first real opportunity I have had in this business. The WWF is good for that, when I signed my name on that dotted line to become a WWF superstar, that's all I was promised. An opportunity. Well, I think the fans didn't fall for all that Flash Funk nonsense, and now the guys in the back are letting me be who I am. And that is one of the best damn high fliers of all time! Now I saw on Heat last week, X-Pac returned, and became the new WWF Light Heavyweight Champion. I am asking him, if he's got the guts, to give me a shot at his title, tomorrow night on Heat! I know we could tear the building down, but the question is, does Pac have the balls to sign the contract? Or is that crotch chop just pointing at something he wishes he had?" Segment #4: Hawk vs. Animal (Loser Leaves Town/Texas Death Match) An average matchup. Hawk picks up the victory around the 10 minute mark after a series of piledrivers, and a Human Torture Rack into a neckbreaker left Animal unable to continue. Animal's WWF contract has now been officially terminated. WINNER: Hawk Segment #5: The Jackyl introduces his newest client Jackyl is in the ring when the commercial break ends. "I, like a lot of you out there, saw the vicious attack on Cactus Jack by Vader, in which Vader, without any regard for Cactus's safety or well being, powerbombed Jack on the concrete floor. And I gotta tell you......I liked it! It was a side of the man they call Vader that the WWF fans have never seen, have never been allowed to see. This man, this former World Champion, is a wrecking machine, and the WWF has continually told him 'You're too fat', 'Your gimmick sucks'. Well I disagree. I think that with my guidance, Vader will not only destroy Cactus Jack at Unforgiven and become the new Hardcore Champion, if Jack is even able to make it, I think with me in his corner, Vader would be able to achieve his goal and become the WWF Champion before the year is over. Now if Vader would please come out here, and listen to my intellectual intercourse, I would greatly appreciate it." Vader's music hits, and he walks to the ring to deafening boos. The powerbomb he delivered to Cactus Jack is reshown on the Titantron. "There you see that! That's the viciousness, the callousness, the coldness, the hatred, that brought you to the top of the wrestling world Vader! And I can draw that out of you. I know you've become disillusioned with your position in this sport in the past six months, but I can change all of that! With my motivation, you can be as big as you ever wanted to be! What do you say big man......are you ready to begin the journey of Jackyling off?" They shake hands, and it appears that Vader has himself a new manager! Segment #6: Shawn Michaels vs. Billy Gunn Michaels, apparently infuriated by the attack on him Monday at the hands of HHH and the NAO really puts the boots to Gunn to begin the match. Gunn takes control for a little bit after a Jackhammer, but Michaels comes back, nails a beautiful top rope elbowdrop, and hits the Superkick for the victory. WINNER: Shawn Michaels
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 13, 2003 April 19, 1998 Shotgun Saturday Night received a 4.57 rating. We at the WWF were a little disappointed in the quality of the program and apologize. Thanks to Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels for pulling off strong performances however. Next week's show will be a great improvement. At a house show Friday night, the Honky Tonk Man apparently strained his triceps. It is because of this that the WWF will be granting Honky his release. Now in his twilight years as an active competitor, HTM has become somewhat injury prone, and when he did work, his perfomance just didn't measure up to his salary. Best of luck to Honky in the future. Also on the chopping block, Road Warrior Animal. As those who watched know, he lost the Loser Leaves Town match against former partner Hawk last night and will now be allowed to pursue other options outside the WWF. We wish to thank Animal for the entertainment he has brought to all of our fans. The card for April's Pay Per View Extravaganza Unforgiven now stands as For the World Wrestling Federation Championship! The Champion: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Challenger: "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair Ever since they crossed paths in WCW, bad blood has existed between these two. Austin has believe for quite some time that Flair should step aside for the young talent to take over, while Flair wants to show the champion just how good he still can be. And with the very Pro-Flair, Vince McMahon at ringside, anything can happen! "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels vs. "Triple H" Hunter Heart Helmsley Formerly the best of friends in Degeneration X, they are now enemies following Helmsley's harsh words towards his former mentor. HHH considers HBK's loss to Austin at Wrestlemania 14 a "dropping of the ball", and has now assumed leadership of DX. Does HBK still have what it takes to defeat this young lion? The Undertaker vs. Kane This will be a rematch from Wrestlemania, with stipulations still to be determined. For the Intercontinental Championship! "The Rock" Rocky Maivia vs. "The Blackheart" Owen Hart These two have a very simple issue. Owen doesn't like Rocky, and Rocky doesn't like Owen. Owen asked for a shot, and defeated The Rock's personally selected opponent Faarooq to earn that shot. Should be a good one, as Rocky tries to avenge a loss to Owen from around a year ago for the IC gold! For the Hardcore Championship Cactus Jack vs. Vader Although a new title, the Hardcore Championship is already a hotly contested strap as show last Monday on raw when Vader powerbombed Cactus on the concrete floor. With stipulations also to be determined, this should be a bloodbath. And now that the Jackyl is in Vader's corner, are the odds against the man from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico? For the WWF Tag Team Championship The New Age Outlaws vs. The Shooters Although Shamrock and Blackman haven't been teaming that long, their victory in a Triple Threat match earned them this shot. No bad blood there yet, but now that the NAO are gunning for them ,this rivalry should heat up in the weeks to come. The Great Muta vs. Jeff Jarrett Hot off of Jarrett's complaints about a lack of worthy adversaries, Muta debuted and has sprayed Jarrett with his deadly mist twice now! Can the man from Memphis compete with such an international legend? And also, the Light Heavyweight Championship is scheduled to be on the line.......will X-Pac still have it? If so, who will be the #1 contender? Now, tonight on Heat!!! The Undertaker is infuriated with Kane's interference in his matches recently. So tonight he looks to release some of that rage on Bart Gunn! X-Pac has granted Scorpio's request for a Light Heavyweight Title matchup, and this one should be fantastic! But as seen in the past, Pac always has something up his sleeve.......... Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy makes his WWF return tonight as he takes on the monster, Vader in a Falls Count Anywhere match! Gordy would have had a Hardcore title shot if Vader had not injured Cactus Jack on Raw. And, in the Main event.......Ric Flair has requested another match with a top WWF star.......his opponent tonight? "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock! It should be a techinical dream match! You won't want to miss this! Tune into Heat tonight!
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Lovin it... keep it up.
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 15, 2003 April 19, 1998 SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT Segment #1: Interview With Degeneration X The DX music hits, and HHH, X-Pac, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and Chyna all come down to the ring. HHH has the mic first. "Ladies and Gentlemen...........Let's get ready to SUUUUUUUUUUUCK IT! I think it's pretty clear where the power lies today in the WWF. We're the youngest, we're the coolest, and like it or not we are the future of wrestling. And the way I see it, it's time for a lot of the old useless bastards to get out of the way. First on my agenda, is that washed up has been, Shawn Michaels. You should have left well enough alone Shawn. I knew you were hurt at Mania, the crowd could see it in your face, and you should've called it a career as soon as Mike Tyson laid you out like the trash you are. I would've let you leave gracefully. But your ego wouldn't let you just go home, would it Shawn? You had to come back and prove to all these people that you could still hack it. And you wanted to test yourself against the best. Well Shawn, as you may know by now, the WWF has signed a match between us for Unforgiven. And I've never trained harder. And if you expect me to take it easy on you, old buddy, knowing just how screwed up your back really is.......you got another thing coming. When I snap you in two with my Pedigree, and you're crying and flopping around on the mat like a dying fish, remember one thing........Triple H told you so." Road Dogg is next to grab the mic. "For those of you unaware, the New Age Outlaws also now have a match at Unforgiven. Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman, the Black Holes Of Charisma, have earned their way up to being #1 contenders. Of course they beat two jobber tag teams to get there, but who am I to complain. The New Age Outlaws are here to claim their territory as the best tag team in WWF history, and come Unforgiven, when we successfully defend these straps again, you people will have to agree with me. Oh, and Ken, Steve, I believe the 'Badd Ass' here has two words for you............." "SUCK IT!" And finally, it's X-Pac's turn "You know, when I came back to the WWF, when I put my name on that dotted line, Vinnie Mac said to me 'Pac now that you're here we can finally have a decent Light Heavyweight division.' I gotta say, when a divison has two competitors in it, that really doesn't make it <bleep>, now does it? Scorpio, you say you're in the best shape of your career? Well tonight, you get a chance to prove it. But I got a gentlemen's bet with my man Triple H here that you can't even hang in the ring with me for more then 5 minutes.......you know, just like with you old lady!" Segment #2: The Undertaker vs. Bart Gunn 2 minute match. Taker hits the chokeslam and the Tombstone almost immediately for the victory. After the match, Taker puts a Kane mask on Gunn and Tombstones him onto a steel chair, busting him wide open. WINNER: The Undertaker Segment #3: Interview with Sunny "To all the fans who have missed me, thank you for the emails and the letters and the calls that got me back on WWF TV. I'm gonna shoot with you guys a little bit here. The reason you haven't seen me is because I refused to manage the LOD 2000. The WWF wanted me to be their manager strictly for marketing purposes, and I saw it as a sinking ship I had to jump off. Now thanks to your support, the head guy back there has told me I can manage whoever I see fit. So this is the day I am going to form Sunny Incorporated! Only the best and most promising talent will have me on their arm from now on, and here are my first two clients. The next WWF World Tag Team Champions..........Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman! The Shooters!" The Shooters come out to a decent applause, and both get a kiss on the cheek from Sunny as we go to break. Segment #4: WWF Light Heavyweight Title Match: X-Pac vs. Scorpio Pretty good match, although not as good as expected. Pac was in control most of the beginning of the match, thanks to Chyna's interference. Scorpio had a nice comeback though which culminated in a picture perfect 450 splash. Chyna putting Pac's leg on the bottom rope saved him there. In the end, these two were slugging it out until the time limit expired at 15:00. TIME LIMIT DRAW Segment #5: Interview with Cactus Jack This was filmed at Cactus Jack's home. Cactus is lying on his sofa, with a neckbrace on. "I gotta tell you Vader, you put quite a hurting on ol' Cactus. And for those of you fans who don't know, this isn't the first time that big coward has attacked me from behind and dropped me on my head on the concrete. A few years back we feuded over another, less prestigious championship, one that Vader only held onto because of the nefarious actions of his sleazy manager. I see you have another sleazy manager now Vader. But there's a difference. Going into our match at Unforgiven, and yes I will be there, I am the champion. I have the advantage. And maybe I will bring my own equalizer out there to counteract that snake, ,The Jackyl. Maybe I will have someone in my corner. The doctors have told me that I shouldn't step into a ring again, especially not against a man as dangerous as you. But I've been hearing for years I'll end up in a wheelchair before the age of 30 anyway. I'm 31 now Vader. And I'm still walking. You see, normal medical advice doesn't apply when it comes to Cactus Jack! And I've been sitting around the house, recovering, spending time with my wife and children, and sometimes I second guess myself. I think maybe, just maybe this isn't worth it. It isn't worth risking my life or my health by stepping in that ring again. Then I watch the footage of your sneak attack on me, your former tag partner, your former rival. If you didn't have the balls, if you weren't man enough to be face to face with me before you swung Vader, what makes you think things will be any different at Unforgiven! I'll be out for blood, and I won't just be trying to beat you Vader, I will be trying to hurt you. They say you shouldn't screw around with a hibernating bear. Well maybe I was getting a little lazy out there, maybe I forgot just how hardcore Cactus Jack could be. Well you just woke this bear up, and I am pissed off more then I have ever been before! Are you ready to face Cactus Jack at his worst?" Segment #6: Vader vs. Terry Gordy (Falls Count Anywhere) Very stiff action between these two as both had something to prove. It went all over the building, with Gordy bleeding profusely from the back of his head from a back suplex on the rampway. In the end, Jackyl tripped Gordy when he was coming off the ropes. Gordy chased after him, only to run into a vicious Vader attack on the outside. In the ring, Moonsault, 1,2,3. WINNER: Vader Segement #7: Interview with The Rock: Interview with The Rock on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards "You see Owen. This is how big The Rock is getting, this is why The Rock is the future of sports entertainment. Here I am, MTV Movie Awards, and listen to those people chant my name! I represent the future of the business, a concept you cannot understand. You're living in the past Owen, like the rest of your family. You want the business to go back to a time when it absolutely sucked! Maybe you should go home to Canada and go open an independent league where you can wrestle at flea markets and high schol gymnasiums every night. Because it's very simple Owen. You have to accept the present, before it passes you by. You better be down in that Dungeon with Stu, preparing for the Rock. Because what I got waiting for you is another thing you and your family was never able to accept. Defeat. You smell what The Rock is cookin'?" Sgement #8: Ric Flair vs. Ken Shamrock Flair seemed a little weary of Shamrock's offense after a vicious Belly to Belly, and a Hurancanrana. Eventually, he settled into his groove, working the knee over. The finish comes when Road Dogg comes down to the ring and scores with a chairshot on Shamrock's knee from the outside. A Figure 4 later and it's over. After the match, Flair plants a kiss on Sunny. WINNER: Ric Flair
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 15, 2003 April 20, 1998 Last night's Heat scored a 5.01 in the ratings! A little lower then the previous week, but still enough to defeat WCW Pro. Thanks to Ric Flair, Ken Shamrock, Vader, Terry Gordy, Cactus Jack, and The Rock for their fantastic performances. Now signed for Unforgivien! For the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, X-Pac vs. Scorpio! The Championship committee feels that Scorpio earned that shot by taking X-Pac to a time limit draw last night on Heat. TONIGHT ON RAW! Their teams will clash for the Tag Team titles at Unforgiven, but tonight on Raw "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn and "Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman will collide in a Hardcore match! Ahmed Johnson returns from a shoulder injury tonight, and he wants to face the man who caused that injury..........Kane! Jeff Jarrett claimed he was almost permenantly blinded by the mist of The Great Muta and he doesn't want to wait until Unforgiven. He has challenged Muta to a match tonight, and Muta accepted! In his road to Unforgiven and a match with Triple H, Shawn Michaels wants to take on another member of DX here tonight. His former friend X-Pac! This should be on for the ages! And in the main event, in a tag team match signed by Vince McMahon, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and the WWF Intercontinental Champion The Rock will team up to face the unlikely duo of the WWF World Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and "Black Heart" Owen Hart. Austin still holds a grudge against Owen from Summerslam '97 when an errant piledriver broke the neck of the "Texas Rattlesnake". How will these two co-exist? This could be one of the biggest Raw main events in history! TUNE IN TONIGHT!
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted July 18, 2003 RAW IS WAR Segment #1: Interview with Ric Flair and The Rock They come out to Vince's "No Chance" music. When they enter the ring, Vince is shown backstage, a huge grin on his face. Flair grabs the microphone first. "WHOOOOOO! Ladies and Gentlemen, right now you have the distinct privelege of seeing what may just be the greatest tag team combination of all time! You've got the 14 time heavyweight champion of the world, 'The Nature Boy' and his tag team partner tonight, the current Intercontinental champion, and the man who may one day hold more titles then even me.......The Rock! So I don't blame Vinnie Mac for putting us together in a common cause, to vanquish our enemies tonight. Look at the class in this ring tonight, the showmanship, the combined wrestling ability. And then take a look at our opponents. Steve Austin, a filthy redneck, probably spends his days off watching Nascar and beating his wife. Owen Hart? Is he still in the WWF? Shouldn't he have tucked his tail between his legs and ran to WCW to join his crybaby relatives by now? This won't even be a contest. Cause you see, me and Rocky baby here, we spent all weekend together, WHOOOOOO styling and profiling. Limosines! Lear Jets! And the women, WHOOOOOO, not only was Space Mountain running overtime, but a few of those lovely ladies experienced the Rocky Mountain High! We're buddies now, we're tight, and we will be watching each other's backs. Austin and Owen? Steve, can you honestly tell me you're gonna trust a guy who broke your neck less then a year ago? How can you even stand to be in the same corner as him? I'll see you boys in the ring later tonight, that is, if you can keep yourselves from tearing each other apart before you get there." Flair passes the mic off to The Rock. "The Rock just wants to say it is an honor to be standing in the ring with such greatness, with someone who will forever be known as 'The Man', Ric Flair. And, to quote one of his more famous sayings, 'To be the man, you gotta beat the man'. And Steve Austin, you've never beaten the man. And The Rock doubts you will tonight, cause the greatest team this sport has ever seen will be laying the smack down on your candy ass! And Owen Hart? The Rock will look forward to beating your ass at Unforgiven, because The Rock doubts he will see you tonight. You see the rumor is, Stone Cold is planning on whooping your candy ass all over the locker room before tonight's main event. So if The Rock were you, he would be watching his back every second. If ya smell what The Rock is cookin!" Segment #2: HARDCORE MATCH: Billy Gunn vs. Steve Blackman Blackman wowed the crowd with his stiff kicks, but interference and a belt shot from the Road Dogg put Blackman down for the count. The NAO were putting the boots to Steve until Ken Shamrock ran down and made the save. WINNER: Billy Gunn Segment #3: Interview with Steve Austin and Owen Hart Austin and Owen are backstage in the locker room, and Austin talks first. "You know Ric, it must be strange for you to stand in the ring with a guy half your age, The Rock, a guy who, like him or not, does have a hell of a future in the business. You're the past Ric. And I will beat the man Sinday, I will beat his ass all over the arena, and I will hold onto the championship gold that I worked my ass off for 8 years for. You say you're the dirtiest player in the game? Well I'm the Rattlesnake, and I not only know all your tricks cause I've been watching them for years, but I have eyes in the back of my head. I know Vince McMahon will try to stick his damn nose in my business, and I got a Stunner waiting for him also. As far as tonight goes, and you Owen Hart. I don't like you, ,and I damn sure never will. But, I respect you, and I know from experience you can get things done in that ring. So tonight, I say we put personal issues aside and whoop Flair and Rock's damn asses. So just stay out of 'Stone Cold's way, and get your job done, and we'll have no problems." "Don't give me no <bleep> Steve. I don't want to be your partner anymore then you want to be mine. I made a mistake last year at Summerslam, but that's the past. Look at you, you're the WWF champion! So apparently, I didn't slow you down one bit. So I'll give you the same advice I have been hearing since Novenmber 1997. Get over it! Now let's just go out to the ring tonight and take care of business like you know we can. And stay out of my way as well, cause Owen 3:16 says I can and will break your neck again1" With that Owen storms out of the locker room, with Austin looking pissed. Segment #4: Kane vs. Ahmed Johnson These two pull out a nice *** matchup, which ends with Kane winning cleanly with a Tombstone. Ahmed looks visibly pissed off after the match, amidst rumors he refused to job cleanly. Afterwards, The Undertaker comes down and he and Kane brawl to the back. WINNER: Kane Segment #5: Backstage with Hawk and Terry Gordy Gordy is backstage taking the tape off of his hands from a dark match earlier in the night when Hawk walks up. He smiles, and they shake hands. "Well Terry 'Bamm Bamm' Gordy! I haven't seen you in a while man, it's good to see you back in the WWF. Listen, I am sure you know that Animal is gone. And I was thinking, both of our highest successes have been in the tag team division. I was wondering if you would consider teaming up with me. I think we could be even more devastarting then the LOD, more devastating then even you and Dr. Death! Whaddya say?" "Sounds like a hell of a plan Hawk. Let's try to get a match on Shotgun to see how it works out." Segment #6: The Great Muta vs. Jeff Jarrett The styles of these two clashed a little bit, but once they got going it was a damn respectable affair. Jarrett gains the victory after a low blow, schoolboy, and a handful of tights. He then runs away, not waiting to stick around for Muta's revenge. WINNER: Jeff Jarrett Segment :7: Road Dogg assaults Shamrock Shamrock is seen backstage talk to one of the production assistants when Road Dogg comes out of nowhere with a steel chair shot to the back of Shamrock's head. He puts Shamrock's ankle in the chair, getting ready to Pillmanize him when Sunny comes out of nowhere and clocks Dogg when her purse. He is knocked unconcious, and Sunny reaches into her purse to reveal a brick! She then helps Shamrock up, and we go to commercial. Segment #8: Shawn Michaels vs. X-Pac Good match between these two Kliq members. Lot of high flying action, and it ends when HHH runs in and attacks Shawn for the DQ. He hits 3 Pedigrees in a row, then spits on the fallen HBK and walks out. WINNER: Shawn Michaels by DQ Segment #9: Interview with HHH When we come back from the break, HHH has taken a cameraman hostage. "Once again I strike, and once again you're carted out on a stretcher Shawn. How many beatings will it take before you wise up? As a former friend of yours, I gotta say, I am worried about your personal well being. Because you know me Shawn, I will not stop until I achieve victory over you at Unforgiven. And if that means crippling you for life, I will do it. So I am begging you, please do not show up Sunday night, for your health, and for your family's sake. Because if you do, you will have to live with the consequences for the rest of your life." Segment #10: Ric Flair/The Rock vs. Steve Austin/Owen Hart ****1/2 star matchup! Flair and Austin's time in the ring together had the crowd on their feet! The end comes when Austin is whipped across the ring into Owen Hart, then rolled up by Flair for the win. Afterwards an argument between Austin and Hart turns into the brawl as the two fight all over the arena. As we go off the air, McMahon, Flair and Rocky are shown at the top of the ramp laughing hysterically. WINNERS: Ric Flair and The Rock

Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Looking Good, better than the real 1998....Kinda... Only one problem. Reading one of the first shows, Vince McMAhon had his current theme, which didn't debut until the 1999 Royal Rumble, or emediately after. He had no theme before that. Keep up good work!
