Good Stuff.....Everyone was good. Journey was the best though followed by Styx then REO. Only concern was that Journey didn't sing Who's Crying Now or Only the Young.

Also, I don't understand why the groups play their new songs that half the crowd has never heard of. The fans don't come to see them for thier songs in the past years. They want the old school.

well, that is how you promote a new album... normally people are GLAD when a band plays new songs, ya dig?

Obviously, but the crowd is completely dead during the whole thing which shows exactly how much interest they have in the song.

This is a Nostaligia tour...They came for the old shit...

When Hogan came back..they just wanted the Yellow and Red and the Leg Drops...

They didn't want Hogan to EXPAND his moveset...They just wanted what they liked before...

I saw RATT last week, its a nice coverband that had the Corey Feldman look-a-like singer and the Motely Crue 2nd singer on guitar. When they finished the show with Round and Round the crowd went crazy.

Good show.

Well, see that's part of the problem. Steve Perry isn't fronting Journey anymore, and Lawrence Gowan is now the lead singer of Styx. You might as well throw the Gary Cherone-era Van Halen in there, because it just isn't the same.

Mind you, I'd mark out if Gowan busted out "A Criminal Mind" and "Moonlight Desires", but that's just me and I've lost about 90% of you with that reference...

I saw The Fall in Chapel Hill on Saturday. They didn't play "Who's Crying Now" or "Only The Young" either, but they did take a liking the the dozens of perfectly rendered Mark E. Smith masks that my friends and I went to great pains to make in the days leading up to the show. It just goes to show that even bitter old frog-like British alcoholic wifebeaters can have a little sunshine infused into their lives by the creativity and verve of young people. Mark E. Smith should adopt some hipster kids.

No...They played Wheel in the Sky if that's what you meant. I t was overall a good concert though. I just watched the DVD concert of Journey 2001 in LV that's out and they bascially play the same routine. Almost every time they end with Faithfully. The lead singer's good but no one compares to Steve Perry.
