Only concern was that Journey didn't sing Who's Crying Now or Only the Young. Also, I don't understand why the groups play their new songs that half the crowd has never heard of. Steve Perry isn't fronting Journey anymore, and Lawrence Gowan is now the lead singer of Styx. You might as well throw the Gary Cherone-era Van Halen in there, because it just isn't the same. Mind you, I'd mark out if Gowan busted out "A Criminal Mind" and "Moonlight Desires", but that's just me and I've lost about 90% of you with that reference... They didn't play "Who's Crying Now" or "Only The Young" either, but they did take a liking the the dozens of perfectly rendered Mark E. Smith masks that my friends and I went to great pains to make in the days leading up to the show. It just goes to show that even bitter old frog-like British alcoholic wifebeaters can have a little sunshine infused into their lives by the creativity and verve of young people. Mark E. I just watched the DVD concert of Journey 2001 in LV that's out and they bascially play the same routine. Almost every time they end with Faithfully.
