Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted July 10, 2003 So, I decide to actually check my TSM e-mail yesterday, and for the first time in history, my heart skipped a beat as I got not one, but two feedback e-mails! However, upon trying to send out a reply, all I got were those "out of allocated memory" errors, and unlike on the board, I couldn't just refresh refresh refresh refresh because it'd clear the e-mail every time (of course this never became an issue because, despite several attempts at refreshing, the only time I didn't get the error was for a "Cannot find server" error). Is there any way to solve this problem? Would deleting my browser cache as mentioned in the other thread help? Or is it just a fact of life, and from now on I'll just put my non-TSM e-mail in my columns (though the pessimist in me doubts I'll be getting much more feedback in the future )
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 10, 2003 Have you logged out after that and tried again a few hours later? I experience problems with it every now and then, but sometimes if you just leave and go back they resolve themself. My only other advice, copy your responses before you click send in case they don't go through.

Yea, I initially had the problem last night, and only posted about it since I experienced it again today. I ended up just doing the copy and paste thing and sending one of the responses via my regular e-mail account, since I'd sent an abridged version of the other one last night in a PM. Guest MrRant Report post Posted July 11, 2003 setup your outlook express or other e-mail client to check it. I believe the incoming mail server is mail.thesmartmarks.com . Edit: When are they going to get my mail password fixed?
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Edit: When are they going to get my mail password fixed? Didn't you get the mail about the new password all of the accounts were set to? You use that one to log in and then change it to whatever you want.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted July 11, 2003 (edited) I get that error just about every time I try to check my TSM email. It's been happening occasionally on the boards, too, but persistent refreshing gets past it there. I'd actually rather use webmail than Outlook Express to check my TSM mail, since I think OE chugs the cock. Edit: Ok, I reluctantly setup OE to work with my TSM mail. I can get my mail just fine, but it doesn't seem like I can send anything. I've tried both "mail.thesmartmarks.com" and "smtp.thesmartmarks.com" as the server. Does anyone know something I'm overlooking here? I haven't used OE in at least 2 years, so I'm rusty with its tweaks. Hey, I didn't know you could configure OE to access the TSM e-mail, thanks Rant! I'm guessing there's no outgoing mail server? I tried smtp.thesmartmarks.com as well as using mail.thesmartmarks.com again for the outgoing but neither worked. Well, I mean there has to be an outgoing mail server, but does anyone know what it is? And yea, OE's not perfect, but it's better than those stupid errors. Guest MrRant Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Use your internet providers/college's SMTP server.
