Honestly, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. Which isn't to say it's one of the greatest of all time. But on my personal list, it's in my top 5.

I also quite enjoyed it. While Johnny Depp was great, I have to say that this movie will be popular ten years from now because Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly are about to become the two biggest stars in the world. They SO lucked out getting them when they were relatively unknown.

IMO Orlando Bloom can't act his way out of a paper bag. He was passable in LotR and Depp/Rush saved his ass in PoC:TCotBP

I wouldn't go so far as to say Orlando Bloom can't act... he's just been given roles that don't require alot of flexibility. I'll give him some time... although I agree, Depp and Rush MADE this movie.

Problem is there are a lot of characters in Lord of the Rings who aren't really required to do much more than run, use their weapon, and say their 5 lines.

 

So we don't really get to see Orlando's acting skills in those movies.

I can't believe how many people don't understand the curse.

 

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

The ONLY people that get the curse are the people that steals a coin from THE CHEST.   Bootstrap was cursed before being dropped in the ocean strapped to a cannon. However, If Barrabas dropped him in the middle of the ocean like he said, Bootstrap would've imploded due to the water pressure. So unless Bootstrap escaped before that, he's dead.

I just saw it...GREAT GREAT GREAT movie. If you haven't seen it yet, go out NOW. I want to see it again, myself.
