Guest Anglesault Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 You forget one thing... They'll never bring Cena up to Angle's level, they'll ONCE AGAIN drop Kurt down to Cena's level. So in the end, it will be just like the Edge feud. It won't help Cena, and it will hurt Angle. Now they'll both be stuc in meaningless midcard feuds And really, who does that help?
Guest Anglesault Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 ^ The Fans who get entertained? You can entertain people without fucking careers. I don't care what you say. Angle is NOT as bullet-proof as you say. He can only take so man stupid, pointless demotions before he's worthless at the top. If you want to run this feud, ELEVATE CENA! This way it helps John and doesn't hurt Kurt. Why is it imperative that Angle be demotd again?
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 How is Angle getting demoted? Your theory that if Kurt Angle doesn't Main event he's in the mid-card and he is being demoted is really rash and annoying.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Yeah, I can honestly say, objectively, I've never viewed Angle as 'weak' in any capacity. Ric Flair's career was basically getting his ass handed to him, but was he ever not credible as a top-liner? And whilst people are getting the better of Angle in silly segments that don't mean much in the long-run, it's not like he's being jobbed out. I mean, if they deliberately wanted to destory his credibility, they could do a better job than they have. Ask RVD.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 How is Angle getting demoted? Going down to the midcard for six months is a demotion. Your theory that if Kurt Angle doesn't Main event he's in the mid-card and he is being demoted is really rash and annoying. Well, what do you call, say the entire year of 2002? (Save parts of February, June, July and December?)
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 There is nothing wrong with the way Kurt's career is heading, nor has there ever been. The WWE have, in general, done a good job with him. The only one who thinks otherwise is AS.

The WWE have, in general, done a good job with him. The only one who thinks otherwise is AS. As of this spoiler, it seems good. Spending almost all of 2002 in stupid, meaningless midcard feuds was real bad.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Which feuds were meaningless? The one with Rey? Benoit? Edge? Hogan?
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Tell me what the Kane, Edge, Rey and initial Benoit feuds acomplished.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Tell me what the Kane, Edge, Rey and initial Benoit feuds acomplished. NOTE: These are what I think they were meant to accomplish. 1) Kane Feud: Meant to make Kurt seem more dangerous, standing in the face of a monster and winning. 2) Edge Feud: Meant to be closure for Team ECK. Also, meant to help get Edge over. 3) Rey Feud: Meant to get Rey more over... 4) Benoit Feud (initial): Set up tension for a later feud down the road.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Edge: Led to Kurt getting his hair cut, which led to the Hogan feud as I recall Rey: (supposedly) Proved Rey could hang with the big boys Benoit: Great matches. I dunno about Kane.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Edge: Led to Kurt getting his hair cut, which led to the Hogan feud as I recall It ended up helping no one. Edge didn't get elevated (Because they portrayed Angles just another midcarder) and Angle got the imbecile wig. Rey: (supposedly) Proved Rey could hang with the big boys By jobbing him over and over again? Benoit: Great matches With no purpose.
Lil' Bitch Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Even I'll admit (despite how much of a SD fan I am) that last week's show sucked major ass.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Rey pinned Angle at least once didnt he?
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 A fluke win in a six man tag in Angle's second match of the night to start the whole thing. Then Kurt pinned him clean twice in 1 0n 1 matches.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 yeah, but it ain't just about wins and losses. Rey pinned him and looked competative everytime he lost, and he won a three way against Angle and Benoit.
