Lil' Bitch Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 What I'm trying to say is when an original plan / match is about to take place and then shit happens so they're forced to change it? Do you love it or hate it? And people will always wonder what could have been... Famous Flukes and Changes: - Bob Backland getting a rematch with Iron Shiek, but couldn't do it because his back was fucked up. Hogan gets stuck in and wins the title therefore Hulkamania being born. - Flair / Hogan didn't happen at WM VIII because of the steroid trial We get Savage / Flair, Sid / Hogan instead. - HHH supposed to winning KOTR 96, but was prevented from doing show because of the Klique incident. Austin wins it instead. - Bret Hart / Shawn Michaels WM ME rematch didn't happen because HBK didn't want to job back to Bret. We get Sid / Taker instead and the classic Austin/Hart Submission Match. - Nash / HHH supposed to be happening at SS because HHH was NOT going to join the nwo, but didn't happen because the lumbering tree finally fell down. We get HHH / HBK instead. List more. I guess.
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 quad tears, nWo dissolves best...fluke...ever
Lil' Bitch Posted July 12, 2003 Author Report Posted July 12, 2003 I always wondered what nWo would have done had Nash not torn his quad. It was great HBK had joined. I mean had Steiner joined sooner, had Hall not been fired, had they gotten more members. I could just imagine nWo running amuck in WWE like they did in WCW. To me, that would have cool.
Only The Strong Survive Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 I'm sure the WWE(F) would be very different today if Hulkamania never happened and Austin didn't win KOTR '96. Then again... I'm sure they would have just done both of those angles somewhere down the line, but it would still be interesting to see how it would have affected the way things are today if those events happened at a different time than they actually did.
Guest Choken One Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 I don't see where Austin would've taken over because if it wasn't for his kick ass career making promo that night...I don't think Vince would have pushed him that high to begin with...

Maybe Triple H would have gotten the push then, and Austin would have hung around the mid-card for a while longer before finally getting his push by feuding with someone else.
Guest undisputedjericho Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Survivor Series 1997, the creation of "Evil Mr. McMahon" and the end of Bret Hart's career...
Guest deadbeater Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 (edited) One of the more notorious flukes turned around women's wrestling history: Akira Hokuto broke her arm in the Grand Prix tournament 1990 that was meant to be hers. An upstart named Minami Toyota wound up taking it, ushering in fully the hyperworkrate era originated by her trainer Jaguar Yokota. Edited July 13, 2003 by deadbeater
