Best seats you've had for a sporting event?

Just wondering what the best seats anyone has ever scored for a sporting event? Up until this point it would probably have been my floor level seats for Royal Rumble 2000 at MSG.

Now, I have a new winner. I mentioned going to see the Orioles the week after I stop work for the summer and before I go back to school. Now, the only home series is against the Devil Rays. Orioles-Devil Rays, not exactly the best series in the world. I will still think it's great from the comfort of the Luxury Box directly next to the press box, right behind the first base line! Full view of the warehouse and the field.

I think I can already taste the food from World Famous Boog's Barbeque. August 20th...

And while I'm here, can I mention how good of a state Pennsylvania is to live in for sports? From where I live (Scranton/Wilkes Barre area) I can drive 2 hours to a Mets, Yankees, NY Giants, NY Jets, Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, 76ers, Knicks game. Only 3 hours for Ravens and Orioles, 5 for Steelers and Pirates and only a few more for Cleveland and Cincinatti teams! Too bad I don't take advantage of it as much as I should, but it's nice to know it's there.

I was FRONT ROW for Leafs v. Canucks- Seats set me back $390 but it was all worth it.

For baseball I was 3 rows behind the dugout for Mets v. Yankees. It was fun sitting with all the rich people since I could cheer for the Mets and not get my ass kicked.

For basketball- I sat in the luxury box for Knicks v. Celtics once.

For football- I had really good seats on the 30 yard line for Lions v. Giants (the infamous We will make the playoffs game) and was 20 rows behind the end zone for the Super Bowl in 2002.

The luxury boxes at Camden Yards are indeed very nice. I've sat there twice for games, and once in plain old Club Level. Excepting those seats, I had some tremendous lower box seats, about ten rows off the field right around third base. We were very close to the action, and just above field level to get a good look at it all. Plus, it was Foul Popup Central, and I just missed snagging a couple.

Boog's BBQ is pricey, but the food is pretty dashed good.

My tickets to the 2003 Fiesta Bowl. Sure, I was so far off of the field that my back was literally up against the press box. It will be an experience that I will remember forever. Wrestling wise, I got some pretty awesome seats to ECW Heatwave '98 in Dayton. We weren't quite floor level, but we were in the front row of the bleachers that were setup. I think our seats were actually better then most of the floor level seats, because our perspective of the show was so good.

Back when the Pittsburgh Bulls were alive (Major Indoor Lacrosse League) and played in what is now the Mellon Arena, I was a season ticket holder for two years. Two rows up from the front and right next to where the players ran out. Ah, the memories...

I've had floor seats to a Raptors game against the Bulls when Jordan was still with the Bulls, and Toronto won.

And for most of the Sabres games, I've sat behind either the penelty box, or the team bench

All I can say is that Bob Barron has had some pretty choice seats for sporting events! Super Bowl! Damn Barron I'm jealous.

Just about every time I've gone to a Red Barons game, I get great seats. Within 15 rows.

I had floor seats for Raps v. Nets. The Raptors mascot wanted to kick me out since I kept chanting Raptors Suck and taunted the mascot about the losing streak

I've gotten 2nd row seats for wrestling events a few times.

As for other sports, I'm usually stuck up in the nosebleeds (I was in the last 10 rows for the 2001 Grey Cup at Olympic Stadium and for a Leafs/Sens playoff game at the Corel Centre last year), but when I go to Expos games, I can pretty much sit wherever I want and I was in the 2nd or 3rd row at a Jays game a few years back along the 1st base line. Probably my best seats, though, were for a Leafs/Habs game at the Forum probably close to 10 years ago. I was 8 rows behind the net, and I think my dad scored them because he's friend with HOFer Dickie Moore's brother (he was my dad's hockey coach in university).

Courtside for Clippers vs Celtics at Staples Center.

The closing I got at a wrestling event is 3rd row for Raw at the Pond, the night after Jericho won the Undisputed Title.

For wrestling-

I was third row ringside at an MSG house show.

I didn't mention wrestling house show because I didn't think it was big enough, but at the Old Catholic Youth Center in Scranton, I had front row seats. Had Brian Christopher (cruiserweight tournament style) laugh his hyena laugh in my face, and TAFKA Goldust taunt me. Fun times.

And alkeiper, I played my state playoff games on that field when I played baseball in high school!! Haha. The clubhouse isn't very nice.

Okay then-

I sat 5 rows behind the announcers at Smackdown!

Haha, no question you've got me beat hands down, Barron.

Well, one of my 2nd row seats was for a SmackDown taping. I've also sat 4th row behind the announcers at Raw once.

Two times I sat in the first row of the end zone. Once against Detroit, and the other against Chicago.

Two times I sat about 6 rows up at a Twins game right behind the on deck circle of the visiting team.

Wrestlemania 19, about 20 rows back. I'm the guy who you can probably hear going "OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD" when Lesnar planted his head into the mat.

About 10 rows behind the goal at a Flyers game.

The Comcast luxury box for a 76ers game.

My best seats were 2nd row centre ice for Houston Aeros vs Rochester Americans, close to the visitors bench. Best pro seats were 6th row for Leafs/Sabres, by the visitor's locker roon.

I just want to add, in terms of total atmosphere, the best place I've ever watched a game was Molson Stadium where the Montreal Alouettes play. It probably helped that the Als won 62-7, but the crowd was HOT all night long and, of course, busted out the Montreal tradition of singing the Goodbye song.
