Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Lesnar has been doing a good job of carrying the Big Show to decent matches. Throwing Angle into the mix can only help the situation. I see it getting at least ***, which would make it the best main event in four months. June HHH Vs. Nash - HIAC - not bad, not great either May Brock Lesnar Vs. Big Show - Stretcher Match - it was pretty good April Goldberg Vs. Rock - it was okay March Kurt Angle Vs. Brock Lesnar - it was awesome You expect Angle / Lesnar / Show to TOP ALL these matches? Well once we have Vengeance, WrestleMania would not count as one of the last four PPVS. Backlash, J-Day, Bad Blood, Vengeance.
Guest Ray Report post Posted July 14, 2003 You could always use this or this or even this. Benoit vs. Guerrero should rule, if given enough time. I still won't buy the PPV, as someone will stick it on Kazaa a few days later. I'm looking forward to Noble vs. Ultimo, even if it is too short.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 14, 2003 ^ Bar My friend. Treat yourself to a nice round of Cold Frosty Beer and Enjoy a good ppv for no more then $10.
Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 meh looks like an ok show.. better than recent weeks... still doesnt make me want to order Vengence... I refuse to spend 35 dollars for a show that has Vince/Gowen as one of the main matches... if the event is good (and beniot/guerraro is awesome) then i will order the replay but the US title, WWE Title (despite the bigshow being in it) matches arent enough to pay 35 dollars for... oh and the APA Bar Room Brawl is semi interesting.. i want more details before i get too excitted.. at least it keeps APA out of the wrestling ring (if it is an actual BAR ROOM fight)
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 14, 2003 But [ b ]this[ / b ] takes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 strikes of the keyboard... _this_ takes *2*
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I would NEVER order a replay if I just heard the match was good... Either order it live or wait three months like pussy AS and get the DVD...
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 14, 2003 and the match will never be _that_ good anyways.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Well once we have Vengeance, WrestleMania would not count as one of the last four PPVS. Backlash, J-Day, Bad Blood, Vengeance Well, yeah that's true, but I don't think the 3 Way will be better than the Stretcher Match. Honestly, I thought it was going to suck. I mean Why Big Show? at the time, but after I watched it, it was pretty tight and was much better than Rock/Goldberg and HHH/Nash main-event wise.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Either order it live or wait three months like pussy AS and get the DVD... That was uncalled for. Besides, why was 35 bucks or whatever they charge these days on a GAMBLE? They could very, very possibly give Eddy/Chris three minutes, the tag match five, and Steph/Sable 15. I don't want to see that, and I sure as fuck don't want to buy it. If you wait, you know what you're paying for.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 14, 2003 ....Who said to spend the $35 bucks? Bar. Bar. Bar. Gather a couple friends, AS and head to the bar to watch it... If it's good...you watched a good ppv with a couple Friends... If it sucks...You can drown your sorrows in Beer and Chicken Wings...
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 ^ Exactly, why spend $35 on something that will most likely suck ass? Easily wait 2 months and get it for $15 less with all the cool extras on DVD. I watch the events live at bars anyway, have some people to interact with while you're watching when you can also have some pizza, a drink, and maybe some buffalo wings. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Gas, Beer, Wings - I find going to a bar is actually more expensive than PPVs.
Guest undisputedjericho Report post Posted July 14, 2003 You're from NY, right 'Sault? There is a Hooters over here in NJ in Paramus or some other nieghboring town, though I'm sure you can find one in NY...
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Damn. After not watching the WWE for a full three weeks due to it being so full of crap lately it's unbearable to watch, I _might_ actually have to break out of my funk by either watching SD or perhaps considering that Benoit and Guerrero will be facing each other for the United States title, a decent triple threat for the World, a good tag team match up, and I might pay $14 to go see Vengence at my local SilverCity with a whole horde of marks (ie: those who show up for it). Or there's just not watching it yet again due to shit more than likely hitting the fan from now till the PPV. Hm... Decisions...

Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Most places stopped showing the PPV's since they have royally sucked for almost a year. On special occasions I bust out *~*this*~*

Guest Deviant Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I got there at the tail end of a tag match featuring Mark Henry. His team won, is about all I can say about this match. They would try to bring him back AGAIN would they? *Remembers Mark's contract and tendancy to show up for a couple weeks every year* Ah fuck. Albert v. Orlando Jordan - Really short match that Albert won with a sloppy looking finisher. Sweet, Jordan's payin' dues character has freed Funaki and A's numerous other regular bitches. How would you feel being on a show under Dawn Marie vs Nidia? That's gotta suck. Vince comes out to lead off... Sounds about right... Sable gave him some Midol to give to Stephanie for her PMS. Ooooooh, feel that build-up, feel the anticipation for this spectacular blow-off. Vengeance! Vengeance! Vengeance! Dragon's third SD, his second win and he needs a distraction to beat Noble, who has been well established as one of the easiest men to beat. I would complain, but hey, Noble vs Dragon! The bar-room brawl could be fun. They don't happen to be in the town with Tim White's Friendly Tap again do they? I bet the two masked men were obviously current WWE workers, would Rey and Kidman face jobbers to build them for a title shot? I love the idea of having Kidman hold the guy down for the 619! Finally, that move makes sense. Now it can look cool and not be so contrived. Once again, Vince joins us in the ring. Speaks for itself really. When it airs, you tell me whether or not they could have covered everything in one 5 minute segment. McMahon in-ring promo #2 followed by a match that goes <1 min... Sure, O'Haire is hardly our god, but still... Billy Gunn losing is the best news I've gotten today. Back to Sable again, as Josh Matthews tries to interview her. Steph shows up dressed as a serving lady and pours wine on Sable. They fight in a big pile of food. Woo.....hoo... Overall, I think it sounds like good watching. Vengeance is the best we can hope for, half good, half fiery pits of hell. You know, why can't the McMahons be in Vince and Sable vs Steph and Gowen. It makes just as much sense, wastes less time, and you can have the father-daughter dynamic for Michael Cole to have a JR-like aneurism over, and yes I know that is spelt wrong. Benoit/Eddie, Rey and Kidman/TBDTTP, potentially good main event, potentially amusing brawl all sound good for when I get my free tape of the show. The negatives have been well discussed.
