Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 When I was living in Ft Collins, there was a train that went right through the heart of the CSU campus, and would have to slow down a little due to this. When I used to have my sleeping issues I would jump the train and ride them into Denver, walk around the city for a few hours and then jump one back to campus. Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted July 15, 2003 I play my NES emulator. If there is a better game while your exhausted than Base Wars, I have never played it. I was up until about 630 friday morning playing that game. What I do most of the time that I actually NEED to sleep is watch a shoot interview. I find the Shane Douglas shoot to be great for dozing off.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Once I couldn't sleep at all. I was tossing and turning, and the next day was the first day of Junior year. Not too cool, making the first impression looking all pale and zombie-like, right? I finally got to sleep around 4:30-ish, and my alarm goes off at 6:15. Got MAYBE an hour and a half of sleep. Nowadays, when I need to fall asleep, I lift weights for a little, and then smoke a BUTT.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted July 15, 2003 54 hours..pfft.. I once stayed up 4 straight days, although by the 4th day it felt like I had been up for about 4 years. I almost made it to 100 hours but then a storm hit and cut off the electric in the middle of the night and I was in the dark with nothing to do.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Once upon a time it was right now, and I couldn't get to sleep even though I've tried over and over again.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted July 15, 2003 When I was at school, I always had trouble sleeping for whatever reason. Most nights, if I hit a certain time and was still awake, I'd just stay up for the rest of the night. *IF* I was lucky, I could make it through the rest of the day without falling asleep and then I'd just crash at 8 or 9 the next night and sleep for 13 or 14 hours. Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 15, 2003 It's the crash part that I hate. On more than several occasions I've stayed up around 36 hours or so, but then I sleep like a rock. Honestly, a shotgun could go off right by my head and I wouldn't wake up. Plus, whenever I sleep more than 12 hours (which ends up happening when I stay up past 24 hours), I wake up with a hangover-like headache.

Guest HBK16 Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Back when my insomnia was really bad I was once up for a little over 3 days. I was actually trying to go to sleep. I would just lay there all night with no success. Finally on the last night I started to hallucinate. It was weird. My insomnia problem got so bad that I have pills to fix it now. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted July 16, 2003 I went on a 5 day acid bender once. I don't recall sleeping any time during that.
Guest Miss Independant Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Nine days in the hospital with probably... three hours sleep the entire time. I had to be woken on an average of every 45 minutes to change IV's, take meds, have blood drawn, check heart rate, temp, ect. The last night was spent being almost literally tortured because no nurses bothered to read my chart during the day and I was forced to have three huge bags of potassium pumped into my body between 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. I was supposed to have it spaced out through the day to minimize the pain, but no. Imagine sticking you hand in a blender with rubbing alcohol and salt ontop of being homesick, lonely, and smelly nurses ignoring me when I begged them to slow the drip because they didn't want to get in trouble. Fun times... That's not exactly insomnia, but I could've asked for sleeping meds. I'd rather have not slept than have anything else put into me.
