I guess the only thing I "missed" is what makes this move good enough that people will waste the keystrokes required to defend it.

Whoa there Tom, you're bordering on AICN-level "criticism" there. I think the reason so many of us are defending it aren't because it's a great film, and probably not one I'd want to see again, but because you've latched onto this crusade to brand a "just all right" film as "unwatchable". It just seems silly since we all know there are lots of worse movies out there.

 

Oh, and so I'm not totally spamming, my girlfriend didn't like the movie either, and um, look over there, it's Moriarty!

If Tom tells us that Bad Boys II puked on his shoes and ate out his girlfriend, we'll know who was right.

I can tell you right now that Tom probably won't even go see Bad Boys II because there are BLACK people in it and who knows, there may even be some in the theater to see it. Imagine the horror of having to sit next to one! :::shudders:::

On a more serious note, I doubt I'll see Bad Boys 2 because I just wasn't a big fan of the first one. It was an Ok buddy cup action-comedy movie, but I thought the ending was terrible, and that just ruined it for me. I *HATE* the whoops-the-bad-guy-isn't-dead-so-both-heroes-turn-and-shoot-him ending. It knocked the first Lethal Weapon down a peg or two, also. Maybe I'll catch a matinee if I'm talked into it, but otherwise, I can't envision seeing it.

I only remember it because the theatre was so loud. Then again, you people love to talk during the movies. I don't know how many times I had to say, "Tyrone, shut up so other people can watch the damn movie!" It's a good thing there were so many guys there named Tyrone, at least.

I can't help but laugh at that. It reminds me of Scary Movie and how the whole theater killed the black girl and the killer didn't even have to. Damn, she was annoying.

Actually, this talk of "racism" and cinema reminds me of the time I saw Bones on opening night and my friend and I were the only white people in the theatre.

 

Yes, I saw Bones in the theatre on opening night. Fear me.
