Taka offered a new wwf contract

-- TAKA Michinoku is currently working in Japan, and he was just recently sent a new contract by the WWF. With the WWF now dividing into two sides, and talk of a cruiserweight division to start up, TAKA may be a great choice to bring back to the WWF being that he was the first ever light-heavyweight champion. TAKA's current WWF deal expires this June, and as of now he is undecided whether to remain wrestling in Japan, or to ink a deal with the WWF. TAKA is planning on beginning his own promotion next month.

He probably won't sign, the WWF barely uses him and when they do he seems to always get injured.

Think about it this way....

 

How much could TAKA probably make in Japan?  He could sign with them, collect his money if they dont use him....or they use him in the division and he gets over.  If he years respect, then he come come back to Japan as a major heel for selling out when its done

From what I hear...TAKA loves America...

 

And at the time his contract is up...it will likely fall conveinently into the 2 weeks they actually do push the cruisers.

 

He'll think their is a spot for him to finally be used correctly.

Or maybe they'll smarten up and rebuild a strong Kaientai Funaki, TAKA, Kaz Hayashi, and Tajiri!

Actually, Meltzer said Taka claimed the WWF sent him a new contract. He said a lot of WWF news that runs in the Japanese press turns out to be incorrect so he was not sure on the validity of the claim. Small point I know. But it seems when a lot of these c/p boards takes news from the Observer/Torch they put their own spin on it, which differs from what Meltzer/Keller actually said.

I hope he does sign. Will he? I think so. I enjoy his act, with out him Funaki's just saying INDEED!

I'd love to see TAKA stay and form a new incarnation of Kaientai ("It's Japanese for 'Horsemen'") with Funaki and Tajiri... although for my money, I'd really miss Togo.
