It is pretty cool, lineage arguments aside. I like the new US Title up close a lot, though it still looks akward seeing it on someones shoulder...or around someone's waist...

The new U.S. title looks extremely tawdry. It's tastelessly showy and has WAY too much color.

The WWE's US title history (not mine) probably includes the lineage of the NWA and WCW US belts. Slaughter had the NWA US title in 1981-2.

I don't like the new belt and it really makes that Background look bad.

 

The side straps angle down to the bottom of the face plate...it looks ugly that way. There is just too much going on in it which makes it gaudy.

Eh, I kinda like the new US Title belt. It's a change from what is normally made.

 

The only belt that I never really liked was the Bradshaw Era Hardcore Title.

 

EDIT: Oh, and that one US title belt where the buckle part was shaped like the United States. Anyone have a picture of THAT thing?

Hmmm. Benoit was born in Canada and Eddie was born in Mexico. Neither competitor was born in the US. That's kind of funny. Kind of.

I just love how both of them are former US champs. Have either Cole or Tazz mentioed this fact yet on SD?

 

Benoit is a two time champ having last held the title on December 20, 1999 and Guerrero is a one time champ who lost it on March 16, 1997.
