Question....is it possible to beat the 4th guy in the dueling right away, or do you have to come back in time?

I'll be waiting for the PC version. Hopefully I'll have mastered bounty hunter on Star Wars Galaxies by then.

Can anyone that has played this so far tell me how comparable it is to Neverwinter Nights? I know it's by the same team and I thought NWN was quite good.

Finally got my lightsaber- but it's only a single blade? Where's my double-bladed goodness?

Did you get the double blade from rescuing the jedi chick?

Cause you should have the prerequisites needed to equipe it yourself now.

After spending some time with the game that question is harder to answer than ever.

Alright let's see.

Without any spoilers I'll go through what I've done so far (BEFORE getting any kind of force powers or anything).

You have a main objective and you need to complete certain things in order to acheive that. Meanwhile there are all kinds of other things to do like kill people and collect their bounties and stuff like that.

There is leveling up that goes on and the combat system is so weird it's wonderful.

Basically...it uses the classic die rolling methhod...but it all goes so fast you can't tell.

You can preprogram in how you want your characters (up to 3 at a time in your party) to attack your enemies (who are laid out like it was a straight action game...no random battles here) and you either hit them or miss them based on the rolls which must be calculated at the speed of light.

There's tons of weapons and upgrades and strategy and stealth and everything I can think of all in the first level.

You have to play it to get it...cause even though I wrote it, it still doesn't sound quite right.

I'm gonna get the game soon but I do wish it had a normal fighting mode. I would much rather it be like Morrowing where you actually have to fight your own battles and not just select what your character does. I think they missed the boat by using that type of fighting. Imagine how cool it would be if you had a part of three jedis roaming around and then got jumped by a group of bad guys and you got to take part in this huge real time battle like at the end of Attack of the Clones whre a bunch of Jedis all fighting at once. That'd be killer. Instead you get to roll dice at the speed of light.

You don't actually roll any dice.

It just factors into to how well your character connects with his blows.

Morrowind, for all that is right with it, standing in front of a character and chopping away for minutes on end for combat is not one of them.

When I play a game, I just like to play it and fight my own fights, not watch the computer do it for me. If I wanted to play a board game, I'd play a board game.

Maybe you should wait and play it.

I must not be describing it right.

This is my favorite combat system in any rpg I've played.

Hell, I'm still gonna play it. I've already got the date set that I'm gonna buy it. I'm trying to wait a few weeks. 1. It's probably sold out now and needs to get restocked. 2. I've bought so many damn games lately that I have like 3 or 4 that I haven't finished yet and I HATE getting a new game when I haven't finished the last one. Right now I'm trying to finish Outlaw Golf, Wolfenstein, Tetris Worlds and Seablade.

Um...how the hell do I get by this huge monster in the sewers.

Edit: Nevermind...just used a few grenades.

Yeah, but then I gave it to Bastila during a fight when I realised she didn't have any weapons, and now I can't get it back.

I haven't gotten far enough in to know when you can get another one.

Alright, I've rented it and spent a good 3 hours with it.

I like it, but I don't love it or think it's the greatest thing since the Thighmaster. I've never been a fan of the RPG genre, to tell you the truth.

I'm not too fond of the combat system. I would've preferred to just to mash the buttons myself. Or something close to Jedi Outcast. I just don't feel in control when I simply choose an action for a character.

That's really my only gripe. Everything else is fine.

I'll probably indulge and buy the PC version. The replies in the thread so far have been pretty interestnig.

Go to the grove and defeat teh Dark Jedi that is tainting it. It's near the ruins, I beleive. And right around there is another crystal cave as well. And if you want to go dark, after the initial attack, she stops to talk. To gain Dark points, kill her.

Hunt for a group of Mercs. Around them there is another entrance to the sewers. If you go in here, it only takes about 5 minutes to find him. Downside is that you wont get the third Promised Land Journal.

BPS you only get 100 credits for those 3 books. I already am upped to tatooine or however you spell it. I am a full fledged jedi. I want to know how to contruct a duel light saber.

You can't construct one. You'll find some when you go later in the game and defeat some dark jedi. Right now I am on the third new planet since leaving the Jedi counsel and I have a ton of lightsabers.

And I would have sold those books for one credit if it meant a darkside poitnt!
