Guest Phr33k Report post Posted July 16, 2003 I do believe that Ms. Carlton fucked up the lip-synching majorly. I noticed a part at the beginning where she was a line ahead of the tape, and one point where she stopped moving her lips altogether. Anyone else catch this? Yeeha, Delgado. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2003 I wasn't watching her lips... Makes sense when she was fumbling with the box... Why can't they get a fucking REAL singer out there...
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Purists must be in heaven watching this one... GREAT CATCH BY FUNKAI! I Mean ICHIRO!
Guest Bosstones Fan Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Nice shot, Helton. FINALLY something somewhat interesting happens.
Guest Smues Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Lemme preface this by saying I'm rooting for the NL. Ahem FUCKING FANS SHOULD STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THE GAME. I HOPE THEY EJECT THAT PIECE OF SHIT AND HAVE HIM SHOT.

Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Here's an idea. Next time a fan grabs a basebal in play, bring him up on charges of theft.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Here's an idea. Next time a fan grabs a basebal in play, bring him up on charges of theft. Or let someone throw a 98MPH heater at him.
Guest Bosstones Fan Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Speaking of the play on which the fan interfered: have any of you guys ever seen the umpire award home to a baserunner like they did to Furcal on that play? I've always seen the batter get second base and any other runners get only two bases, not three. I didn't even know that rule existed.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted July 16, 2003 No. McCarver was trying to justify it with "I don't think they would have gotten Furcal", but for crissakes, the guy hadn't even gotten to third base.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Furcal probably would have scored, but I've never seen that play called the way it was. A similar call screwed the Phillies out of a game earlier this year.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Hmph... I take it controversy a plenty now in this game? I'm not watching, but rather playing MVP instead. As I hate All-Star games as they aren't that great. So who's winning?
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Not too controversial, as Furcal would've ended up on third and likely would have scored later in the inning anyway.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 And the NL is winning 6-3 in the 7th.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted July 16, 2003 PHILLIES WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Damn the NL. I want my Blue Jays to have homefield advantage when they make the World Series. ...yes, that's right. I can dream.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Joe Buck spent the whole game talking about how because of the NL's closers, it would really be a 6 inning game.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Wow I thought they might have a chance picking up 1 and 1 or something but 3 off of Gagne? I didn't see that coming.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Dear FOX. Its the 9th inning. SHOW THE FUCKING GAME.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 AL wins 7-6. All things considered, a good game.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Dear FOX. Its the 9th inning. SHOW THE FUCKING GAME. What happened?
Guest Smues Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Motherfucker. All season when I want Gagne to lose (I hate the motherfucker) he kills everyone, the one time i want his team to win and he gives up 3 runs. Way to go ganja, i hope you can do that every night now. Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Mike MacDougal didn't even get to come into the game. NICE MANAGING SCIOSCIA! NICE WORK SELIG! YOU GOD DAMN MILWAUKEE SON OF A BITCH
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Basically, one out, 9th inning. With Luis Castillo's at bat in progress, FOX cuts to shots of Kevin Kennedy interviewing Garret Anderson. I hope someday the idiots at Fox learn something about building tension and excitement, and stop reading the damn credits while we're at it.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Rob- The American League won. Not every player can play. Its a trade off of not having ties. I know how you feel. Last year Matt Morris sat out for the Cards, and they didn't have a single represenative on the team.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 16, 2003 So the Braves won't have home field because of Eric Gagne. Beautiful
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Bob, a true fanboy would point out that its better this way, because the Braves would close out the series in game 4 at home. Assuming the Phillies don't crush them of course.
Guest Bosstones Fan Report post Posted July 16, 2003 I've been on the "Fuck FOX" bandwagon ever since they started showing the NFL back in '94. Their game presentation drives me insane. As for the 8th inning tonight: THAT is how an All-Star game is supposed to go. Very nice ending. A good game emerges from what looked to be a borefest early on. Kudos to all involved...except YOU, Gagne. Now my Cubbies will have to claim their World Series title on the road.
Guest BobbyWhioux Report post Posted July 16, 2003 What? FOX opting for schlock and glitz and gloss over real content? I'm so completely shocked and appalled. Good game. Too bad it wasn't on a real network.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted July 16, 2003 What? FOX opting for schlock and glitz and gloss over real content? That would be a step up over how many times I've heard Fox tell us "The executive producer is Bill Weisman....."
