He picked the wrong time of year to die ... most people on this board are too busy masturbating over the Dull-Star Game to care about Schramm passing away (no offense meant, baseball fans).

 

There was a thing about Tex on Sportscenter that talked about all he did for the NFL. Other than Rozelle, I don't think that there's one person more responsible for football being as great as it is than Tex Schramm.

 

But having said all that, I had thought that he was already dead, so I was more surprised to find out that he just died than I was ready to mourn his loss.
