Guest DeputyHawk Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 What was the story with Bad News leaving WWF in 1990? He'd been having a long feud with Jake Roberts and I guess the blow-off was supposed to be at SummerSlam that year, but the match ended with a lame DQ from the special ref Bossman, which seemed like it would at least kick off a feud between those two, but he disappeared pretty soon after. Why did he leave and where did he go?
Guest DarkHollywood Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 I heard he struck a fan at a event, which caused his firing, and this was around Summerslam, so maybe it was just coincidence. Of course I could be wrong. He probably retired afterwards though.
Guest DeputyHawk Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Ooh, intrigue! I'd never heard anything about him striking a fan. Why can't Steiner or Goldberg do that, get it out their systems and put us all out of our misrey as well? So was BadNews like blackballed or something for that?
Guest DarkHollywood Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Not really. He was on the outs already. Vince promsied him a title run (world), and that of course never happend. Plus he didnt get paid the money he was promised either. Screw Vince!

Guest Boo_Bradley Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 BN Brown wrestled in the indies, and in Mexico, and Japan. Retired 1994ish
Guest bort Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 i think he went to stampede after he left the wwf, i saw a video from what i think was the uwf in japan and he wrestled what appeared to be a worked shoot, he was not in good shape at all and looked like he was gonna have a baby
Guest DarkHollywood Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Stampede closed in 1989, so that wasn't a choice for Brown, but I think he did wrestle in Japan like someone mentioned.
Guest thetrendsetter Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Bad News wrestled alot in Japan and Mexico after the WWF run. He trains people out of Alberta now...
Guest Brush with Greatness Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 He was in Winnipeg around 96ish (maybe a few years later or earlier) with the IWA. He was mainly in a managerial role for The Natural (Don Callis aka Cyrus). The Natural was feuding with Rick Martel at the time. Martel had a very thin Lance Storm backing him in his feud against the Natural and Bad News (Allen). Good shit, not to mention guys like Chris Jericho, Ultimo Dragon Dr. Luther, Chi Chi Cruz, Joe E. Legend, Champagne Jerry Morrow, Timothy Flowers etc. kicking around as well.
