Guest TonyJaymzV1 Report post Posted July 16, 2003 Okay, so I'm getting a DVD burner soon, and I just had a few questions- 1. What cables/ anything do you need to transfer from VHS to DVD? 2. If you have a non-digital camera, is there a way to transfer it to the computer 3. On burned DVDs, can you have chapters? Like match to match?(IF you haven't noticed, I'm trying to take all my wrestling VHS to DVD)

No. 3. Yeah, most units will let you make different chapters. The one I have, though, auto-inserts a chapter every few minutes or so, which kind of blows, because then you have all these chapter markers at random places in addition to the ones you put in (deep breath). You ARE getting a standalone unit, (not a computer drive) right? Because computer drives are a bitch to work with and take HOURS to encode the footage etc. Hope that helped. -Jim
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 Thanks alot man, btw, the no digital camera was a video camera, if that changes anything. If you couldn't tell, I'm computer illiterate, so this board and my friend are the only ways that keep me from breaking my computer.
Guest MrRant Report post Posted July 17, 2003 You can get analog camcorder to a computer. You just need to buy an adapter ($99-199) and make sure you have at least a Firewire port or USB 2.0 ports ($25ish for a card if you don't have one). You can get it all at Best Buy.
