I Need A New Operating System

I've put up with Windows ME for quite a while and it hasn't been pleasant. I can't tell you how many different programs I've been unable to run because of it, so I've decided I just want to get something else. However, I don't really feel like actually paying for a new system, so does anyone know where I could get Windows XP for free or at least a low price? Kazaa doesn't have it, so if anyone could point me in the right direction of this, reply here or PM me, and I'd be quite grateful.

There are free OS out there you just have to look for it. Try one of the several unix operating systems.

I like OS X but it would be a bad idea for him to switch completely. It is better to buy a Mac in addition then a complete switch. Besides... they are fairly expensive because Apple doesn't let others build the system itself.

XP has the stability of 2000 with the really keen-o System Restore function of ME.

 

It's got copy protection up the wazoo, but as long as you know where to look that doesn't really mean very much, if you know what I mean.

borrow somebody's copy of XP and get an activation code generator. You can download them off of the net, though I know not where. That's what I did for my laptop.

My copy of Windows XP works perfectly, no activation required, and it's bootleg. Also got a key generator. I rule. It's not on Kazaa definitely but look on warez sites.
