I'd say either 2 or 3, they both have the most fun levels IMO

MegaMan 2 I say, because after that they introduced that stupid dog and ruined the series.

 

BTW, MegaMan X is not "crap", it and Mega Man X2 are the best games in the series.

It's really a close tie between Mega Man II and Mega Man III.  MM3 was the most progressive game out of the Mega Man lineup, as it introduced sliding and, for better or worse, Rush the mild-mannered robodog.  Mega Man II had the best lineup of baddies, though...other than Bubbleman.

Megaman X....crap? Have you even gave them a chance? The X series destroys the classic series. Better boss design, better music, better flying/racing levels, better story, everything about X series is better. I cannot believe this!!!!

That's why you beat FlashMan before QuickMan, and use the time stop thing to get past the beams.

MM3, that was the MM game that got me hooked to anything megaman. I can still remember the endless lives i lost trying to kill shadowman with only the m-buster.

III was great, also IV, as it was the only one I owned during the NES era. I picked up VI at Funcoland about 3 years ago and it's actually very good.-JM

I only liked the first three Mega Man X games because they were on Super Nintendo. When they were put on Playstation they stunk. There's no Dr. Wily. He rules. And Mega Man Legends is totally retarded. I only like Mega Man games for NES, SNES, the original black and white GB, and any other classic system. It's stupid that in the Playstation Mega Man X games that some of the bosses are as huge as the screen. That's dumb. I agree with Shaved Bear. The classic Mega Man games were the best. The first three Mega Man X games were the only good ones. The rest were crap.

VI is a good game, one of the Mega Man games i've played and beaten.  but my favorite has got to be III.  I remember asking for it for x-mas one year, but instead i got VI, which is still an ok deal

Mega man 2. i loved that when it came out. and then played it again religously on my Dreamcast Nester. I hate the Mega X stuff.

Mega Man II. III drove me insane because I just couldn't beat it way back when. It actually made me so made, that I took the cartridge for a 'swim' in the sink.
