And one of the people I've noticed on these tapes is Gran Naniwa(see the icon? Isn't he cool!). I just loved this guy. I marked big time everytime he wrestled. He was damn funny and he wasn't to shabby in the ring. I have a few questions though: -Since I don't keep up...what's he doing these days? -Does anyone else here like Naniwa!?
Guest Tim Cooke Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 I liked Naniwa as part of the fantastic Sasuke Sekigun v KDX feud as he brought the adequate highspots and good face charisma to the matches. Prior to that, he was good for the highspots and he brought the comedy before KDX said "Fuck you Sasuke" and made everything serious. Today he is being jobbed out in the AJPW undercard as he never lived up to his potential, though I think his stuff in 1996/97 was about as good as he was going to get, as some people over rated him. Although maybe i've gone a step too far by doing the crab-walk every time something good happens to me... hmm... Oh yeah, Mighty Damaramu? You're a Naniwa mark, I'm a Naniwa mark. You're a lover of Jushin Liger as well, so am I. Do all Liger fans like Naniwa?
