If anybody goes to a Smackdown show, I beg you to try and start a Gowan Sucks chant.

Please.

For all of us.

I did.

When I was at MSG I was booing and heckling the cripple.

Didn't work

Or just chant "break a leg".

Oooh that's cutting.

How about a "Hop-a-long" chant?

Yeah, I know that sucked.

I am still waiting for a sign that references the Make a Wish Foundation, though.

Fans have a lot less patience for him now.

I dont find him believeable he runs with one leg and bounces off the ropes like an irish whip works with 1 leg

hell if all the smarks got together and manage to buy close to front row seats in front of the camera on either side of the ring and down the ramp... We could cause so much damaging chants and Signs

To you guys, everyone is a natural heel character, even Ricky Steamboat.

This is why the WWE does not cater to Intenet Smarks. Just a month ago you guys think that Zach is one of he most inspiring.

Nothing will ever satisfy you for more than nanosecond.

The guy won't be around for even a year probably.  It's only a matter of time before he fucks his knee up badly.  Quite frankly, I say to let him go for as long as he could.

Another year of him in the main. Goodie.

I highly doubt it. Based on his two "wrestling" appearances, he hasn't been made to look better than pretty much anyone. He only beat the Big Show because of Angle and Lesnar. And last night his interference esentially served as just a distraction. Once they end the feud with him and Vince he will fall down the card because even the marks are not willing to believe that this guy could hang with Kurt Angle, Big Show, Brock Lesnar, and Chris Benoit.

He'll get his run against the likes of McMahon, and when VKM bores of him as an opponent and moves onto Lesnar, Gowan will drop back to the lower midcard. I wouldn't mind him as the "Spike Dudley" of Smackdown, where he gets in some offense but still ends up losing (or only winning because of interference) in the end.

And before any says it, I agree that we don't need another "little engine that couldn't" but if he's under contract they have to do SOMETHING with him.

Lastly, no matter how much he sucks, I still like him more than Gunn, or A-Train, or Rikishi.

Zach Gowan, an inspiration, a god-send, a fucking miracle!! I really would like to see him as a heel. Anyway, I hope he has more to him then what we've seen. I mean, his hope for having any in ring credibility is pretty much impossible. I just hope they don't keep him in the main event, it would be borderline Arquette if someone with one leg one the title.

Jesus H Tapdancing Christ......

Let the kid do whatever he fucking wants. I mean, I don't want to see him in the main event scene either but it's not like he's being made out to look like God.

Sure you kind of have to suspend disbelief for a moment when watching him...but if I had only one leg, being in the WWE or even being a pro wrestler would be one of the last things on my mind.

Let the kid live his dream for a little while. He isn't going to be in the WWE forever. I only really give him a few more months or a year. I don't think he should win a title or anything but he is going to at least wrestle on Velocity...some times he wins, sometimes he doesn't.

He is going to turn into "just your ordinary wrestler" in a few weeks... and I'm sure everyone will still bitch.

Don't get me wrong, I won't sit here and say that it isn't disturbing watching him. I think for the handicap that he has he is fairly good in the ring. But here is my point. Why the hell would they book him at the PPV against McMahon, a person that is obviously expose him in the ring. Now, I'm not gonna say that I am dying for the Benoit/Gowen ***** classic. But keep in mind a more experinced "worker" would make Gowen a lot more interesting to see in the ring.

I don't know... Vince dragged a decent match out of Hogan. When it comes to overbooking, Vince seems to only do it right in his own matches.

Anybody else here thinking that McMahon is going to beat Gowen in their match?

I get the feeling that they'll have VInce win through massive cheating or run-ins under the theory that it will build more heel heat for Vince and more sympathy for Gowen.

I don't think it will work though.

Well we know Vince can't lose cleanly to Gowen since he will be facing Brock at SummerSlam, so if Zach does go over it will be after interference from Lesnar. However I would put my money on Vince winning, maybe have Cena run in.

I never said nor do I think he's a "natural heel" since he doesn't do anything heelish. However, the idea of a one-legged heel wrestler could be pulled off, although I think his mic skills aren't good enough for it just yet.

Although I do think it is retarded that he should be awarded a contract. For what? He didn't even prove himself on TV or anything in a sort of try out first. Hell, he was smacked around by Vince making him look really weak.

When I saw that, I couldn't believe any fan wouldn't think "wouldn't it be better for him NOT to get a contract where he would get his ass kicked every night?"

I dont find him believeable he runs with one leg and bounces off the ropes like an irish whip works with 1 leg

So? It wouldn't work with two legs either.

Gowan is made out to be "everything that is good and pure in this world"... That's NOT a heel in todays WWE? Seriously, I don't mind cookie-cutter, but this bakes a fucking cake of warm-fuzzies and goodwill and the fans will choke on it soon enough since it's being forced down our throats.

That is sad. And Toronto was the one crowd I was thinking would take his "representative of good & hope" thing, piss on it, and boo him out of the building.

At the MSG show he was still slaggin' around behind Hogan so we'll have to wait until next time. That building REALLY does not like "good wholesome guy just because he can be" gimmicks ala Gowen and Edge.

Good Lord, what's wrong with you people?

For starters, everyone dwells and dwells on Zach Gowen getting booed in Toronto. Gowen did NOT get booed because fans didn't like him, they got booed because Stephanie came walking down the aisle in all of her obnoxious babyface-in-her-own-mind glory and introduced him to the crowd as though he were a fucking monkey with Downs Syndrome who had just gone to the bathroom all by himself. Then, poor Zach had to come out and call the fans HIS hero to play along, a concept that will make any unproven wrestler get booed.

Fans don't not respond to Gowen because they don't respect him, they don't because they find it horribly onboxious that Stephanie has to use him as a prop to get herself over. Gowen is one of the toughest guys in all of wrestling and he doesn't need a handler holding his hand. Looks aside, Gowen is a badass and he MUST have more heart than anyone in the locker room. Gowen looked death in the eyes, coped with losing a leg and still overcame the scrutiny to become an above average professional wrestler. You want to go to house shows and yell "cripple at him"? Fine, but he's doing moonsaults on one leg and winning the respect of Kurt "God" Angle when your fat ass probably can't even do a jumping jack. I hope you feel MUCH better about yourself berating a handicap though.

I'm not saying Gowen should be in the main event, but you have to remember the main reason he got involved in this angle in the first place was because his idle Hogan had his back and it was probably leading to some sort of tag match with Vince & Shane, Vince & Piper or someone. When Hogan bailed on Zach and everyone else, it left him in limbo and I'm sure most of the stuff we are seeing lately wasn't the long term plan. Gowen still gets HUGE pops when he wrestlers, he reportedly gets some of the biggest if not the biggest receptions at house shows and he hasn't even shown off 90% of what he can do yet. If you think he can't wrestle, I suggest you take a look at some of his better TNA matches and get an idea what he can do with an opponent who isn't 7 feet and 500 pounds of pure immobility.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more of Zach in the cruiser or tag division after Vengeance and I have a feeling he'll give a nice rub to either given the push he has been given. I'll take Gowen over Rikishi, the APA, Mark Henry or Bill Demott any day of the week.

We all know Godfather was the original big ol' fun-lovin' guy.

When did he get fired, if he did? Never saw it mentioned here or there or anywhere.

No one is denying that.

But there's no valid reason for him to be out there getting more screen time than the world champion, monopolizing Smackdown, and being seen as some kind of threat to the current main eventers.

I have nothing but good feelings for the guy personally. I hope he lives a long, happy life.

But not on WWF TV.
