Guest Andy Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Hi everyone, I was looking through the archives of Monday Nitro from 1996 and I realised there were a lot of people I hadn't heard of. Anyone know who they were? Tag Teams... The Super Assassins - were they the same as the Super Destroyers (first ECW tag champs)? The Faces Of Fear - Haku & The Barbarian? Fire & Ice - High Voltage - Rough & Ready - The Amazing French Canadians - Singles Wresters... Madusa Mecelli - Alundra Blayze? Mike Enos - one of the Beverly Brothers, but which one? Shark - John Tenta/ Earthquake The Leprechaun - Crash Holly? Ice Train - Kent Ahee - Buddy Valentino - Ron Studd - Glacier - Bo De Luc - Mike Wenner - The Cheetah Kid - Jimmy Graffiti - nWo Sting - Tony Pena - Thanks. Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 18, 2003 The Super Assassins were The Warlord and The Barbarian under masks. Kent Ahee and Buddy Valentino were Worldwide jobbers who made one or two Nitro appearances apiece. Wasn't Tony Pena one of the Villanos? Rough & Ready were Dick Slater and Mike Enos Mike Wenner was known as Mike Winner everywhere else he wrestled.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Cheetah Kid was Ted "Rocco Rock" Petty's gimmick before he was in Public Enemy, and he played the character a few times. Tony Pena was one of the Villanos, and his name was a knock at Mexican wrestling promoter Antonio Pena. Glacier's real name is not Chris. It's Ray Lloyd. Smooth I remember he had a match against Norman Smiley once where he wanted Smiley to say I quit so he kept yelling it and the ref thought he was quitting or something like that. Oh shit! THAT guy?! I remember him. I remember that match very well - it was when Smiley didn't want to be the hardcore champion, but ended up winning by accident. MI was all "Say it! Say it!! Say.. I.. Quit!" and the ref rang the bell, and Smiley ended up with another victory.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2003 Smiley couldn't say I Quit because he got hit in the throat and wasn't able to talk I think.

Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted July 21, 2003 The Super Assassins were The Warlord and The Barbarian under masks. Are you sure about that? I've got trouble believing that. The Barbarian? Yes. But what about Meng? They were a team in 96. And I don't think the Warlord still wrestled then.
