I've noticed a lot of people dislike Hillary Clinton. I myself don't really know that much about the woman (besides her being a former first lady and now a senator). So, why exactly do some people dislike her?

A lot of current backlash comes from her being a Senator in a state so had little affliation with. Carpet bagger I think is the proper word for it.

General association with Bill Clinton is a strike against her.

As for more specific I can't think of any off the top of my head. I'm sure there's someone here who can give you an extensive list though.

I don't know. That's why I started this thread. Like I said, I don't know that much about her.

Hillary Gets Pass on Anti-Semitic Past

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton is winning rave reviews for her "charm offensive" in Israel over the weekend, despite a well-documented history of anti-Semitic behavior that includes feting terrorist front groups at the White House and accepting their campaign donations while she was first lady.

In Jerusalem Sunday, Mrs. Clinton repeatedly denounced Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat for "choosing violence," a gesture that had even former critics in Israel showering her with praise.

"Your arrival at this time is a great statement of support," gushed Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Omert, who less than two years ago slammed Clinton for endorsing a Palestinian state and kissing Suha Arafat after she accused Israelis of gassing Palestinian children.

While politicians in Tel Aviv may feel that, with Israel under renewed attack, discretion is the order of the day, that's no excuse for American reporters, who have covered Mrs. Clinton's trip with nary a mention of any past ugliness beyond the Arafat kiss.

In fact, Mrs. Clinton's rocky relationship with Jews includes:

• Tirades in which, according to four eyewitnesses, she hurled anti-Semitic epithets like "f---ing Jew bastard" at underlings.

• A top political adviser, Dick Morris, says Clinton invoked an ugly anti-Semitic stereotype when she turned down his request for a raise, saying, "Is that all you people care about is money?"

• Fund raisers kept secret from the press with groups known for their pronounced pro-terrorist sympathies, including one $50,000 affair at the Washington, D.C., home of Yasser Arafat crony Hani Masri. (As Mrs. Clinton roundly denounced Arafat this weekend, no one bothered to ask whether she's returned the money from his friends and supporters.)

• A $1,000 donation from Abdurahman Alamoudi, an official with the American Muslim Council, who was feted by the Clintons and later boasted, "We are the ones who went to the White House and defended what is called Hamas." (Clinton's Senate campaign camouflaged Alamoudi's identity by listing his employer on FEC records as "The American Museum Council.")

• The Clinton State Department's appointment of the Hamas-sympathizing Alamoudi as a "roving goodwill ambassador."

In fact, Mrs. Clinton's track record on Israel is so dicey that during her campaign, her soon-to-be Senate colleague Charles Schumer had to promise New Yorkers that she would defer to his judgment on all matters pertaining to Israel.

Imagine what the press coverage would be like if a Republican senator with similar credentials traveled to Israel and boasted of his longstanding support for the Jewish state.

I swear that if she said that about a Muslim then nobody in the world of US politics would care. Ah well.
