At SWF Headquarters, a familiar face lurks in the shadows, ready to strike at any time without warning...

“Ben Hardy here, awaiting the SWF United States Champion “The King of Nightmares” Michael Craven-”

Hardy turns to his right as he hears the door to King’s offices open, Craven stepping out after another brief meeting with his superior. He seems to be in a pleasant mood about something.

“Wait! Here he is now!”

Hardy runs off, Gus chugging down the hall behind him. Craven is defenseless as Hardy shoves a michrophone into Craven’s face, startling the Gulf Coast Hurricane.

“Michael, what do you have to say to the world about your current US Title reign, your plans for the future, the state of the SWF, etc.?”

“Are you bored or something?” Craven replies back, not really wanting to talk to Ben today, tomorrow, or any time in the future.

“We were supposed to do an interview with Sean Atlas, but he never showed up.”

”Wonder why...” Craven thinks, smirking as he mentally creates the image of Ben Hardy waiting for Atlas, day turning to night, and night turning back into day, and the cycle repeating several times over, all without Atlas showing up. But alas, his pleasant thought is interrupted by the pushy Ben Hardy.

“So, ready to get started?” Hardy stands there smiling. Craven knows he’s been sucked in, and that the only way out is to bow into Ben’s demands. Either that, or beat up Ben again... but that gets boring after a while.

“Fine,” Craven responds with a heavy sigh, trying to think of something to say. Finally, a thought pops into his head, hopefully enough to drive Hardy away.

“I’ll make this real simple and short, Ben: I might be the most dominant US Champion in SWF history, but I’m not satisfied with just this.”

He looks up into the camera with a focused stare.

“Mak Francis, I want your title. Unholy Trinity, I want your title. And Strangler, I want your title most of all. And I will win them, because it is my fate, my destiny to do so.”

Gus giggles off camera at Craven’s remark, causing The Chimera to snap his head around, delivering a piercing gaze to the still laughing cameraman.

“What? You think I’m some kind of joke, fatass?” Craven snarls at the obese video photographer, who finally stops laughing as he comes up with a resonable answer.

“Well...

...

...Yeah!”

Craven begins to steam over, but Hardy grabs him before he can even make a move, holding him back as he tries to calm Craven down.

“Whoa whoa whoa... it’s nothing to get worked up about, Craven, just calm down-”

Craven snaps back around, grabbing Hardy by the jaw and pinning him against the wall, seething in anger before he releases Hardy’s jaw, speaking into the ace interviewer’s mic.

“Let me ask you something Ben: do you know what it’s like to wake up everyday and see some asshole bitching about you somewhere, even though you put your best into the match? Do you?!?!”

“No, I don’t-” Craven though, cuts off Ben with his next series of questions.

“Have you ever given it your all, put yourself on the line for these fans, and had them turn their backs on you? Do you know that feeling of hatred?”

“I can’t say I do...” Hardy answers, his expression showing the level of confusion from Craven’s question.

“I do,” The King of Nightmares answers. “It lives inside of me, growing every day. Everytime I look in that locker room and see those faces, I want to reach out and start ripping them to shreds. They’ve been holding me back for so long, but no longer can they contain this monster. I’m sick of it, Ben. I’m sick of this crap.”

“What the hell do you mean-” Hardy once more gets cut off by Craven, The King of Nightmares growing angrier by the second.

“I’m sick of being told that this,” Craven states, pointing to his US Title, “is the best I can do. I’m sick of these fans, who stabbed me in the back, saying that I’ll never be anything. And I intend to prove them wrong.”

“Now I think I understand...”

“No you don’t,” The King of Nightmares snaps at Ben, his anger becmoing more and more visible as the interview continues. “Now, you asked me if I had something to say to the world, right?”

Hardy slowly nods yes, gulping as Craven lifts his head up at the camera, a scowl spread across his face.

“So you all hate me? You all want me gone? Too fucking bad. I’m here to stay, and I’m not going to let you keep me from what will be mine: the SWF World Championship. This is my destiny, and NONE of you will stop it from happening. ”

“Michael, I’m not sure what you’re getting at...”

Craven holds his hand up, cutting off Ben Hardy as he takes a deep breath, collecting his thoughts before he continues onward.

“It doesn’t matter what you think of me, because I don’t have to answer to you people. I do what I want on my terms, and you can’t stop me. Van Siclen couldn’t stop me, Mak couldn’t stop me, Pete couldn’t stop me, Wildchild couldn’t stop me, and even when Janus beat me, he couldn’t stop me. And not one of you are going to change that.”

“OK, the interview is over-”

Craven shoves Hardy to the ground, Gus focusing the camera on the enraged, ranting, stern-faced Craven. He points a finger at the camera, visibly breathing hard, his finger trembling with the anger, the rage contained within his body.

“This is a message to every SWF Superstar, whether you’re Xero or The Boston Strangler: The Era of Darkness and the reign of The King of Nightmares is coming, and you, nor anyone on this planet, can’t stop it, because it is only a matter of time. It is my fate... it is my destiny...”

“... And your doom...”

Very nice, indeed. I haven't read any of your previous promos, but I decided to take time out and read this one, and well, I'm glad I did. It was written for a purpose, to tell everyone (kayfabe or not) that you plan to move up in the SWF and that you are determined to do so, and it was done in a stylish way. I applaud the effort and I loved how you ended it with the drop off and one last phrase.

Insert SWF smiley face here, if I wanted to piss Frost off.

Heh, anyways, I think everyone will say that you have improved in your promoing skill. Gives your character solid direction and stuff, which is always good.
