Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Bob, you're seriously telling me that if you had a choice being at WrestleMania XX, which is getting like 8 months of hype for being a major anniversary, and say, WrestleMania XXI, that you wouldn't want the bragging rights to say "I was at WrestleMania XX"? Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I would go to any WrestleMania that ever came down here. I don't care what number it is. But to say that the 20th Mania means less than the 21th because it's more expensive is stupid.

I only want to go to WM XX since it's at MSG. If Wrestlemania 20 was somewhere out of the way and WM XXI was in my hometown- I'd go to WMXXI. I just don't see the point in spending all this money in time to go to WM XX. Save your money

Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 21, 2003 OHIO doesn't deserve a WM it seems...INDY sure...OHIO no. I'd Say WWE put their balls on the table and Have WMXXI at Great American Ball Park...

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Another question before I possibly make a charitable contribution: Does 100% of the money go to purchasing the WM XX tickets or does some 3rd party take a generous cut off the top?
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted July 21, 2003 DFA has informed me that 15% of the money will go to the "DFA Pocket Fund", as a fee for putting this together.

Cincinnati OH My top 3 locations for XXI would be Ford Field - Detroit Georgia Dome - Atlanta Bank One Ballpark - Phoenix (Just imagine the price of the Hot Tub tickets!) Guest KJ Brackish Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I was thinking of the 15%, but decided that Dames needs ALL of the money that he can get! I WILL get Dames to WM...if that means....training him to become one of the squash matches before the PPV....ya know...like they used to do before all of the PPV's. The PPV Pre-Show.... w00t! Gotta love da mini's! DFA

Ford Field should be Saved for the 20th Special of WM3... Georgia Dome is possible but why not TWA Dome (I know it's changed it's name) in St. Louis or SuperDome (which would match/break Silverdome's record)... Bank One... Eh. Wouldn't Shock me if Vince wants "21" to be RISQUE in VEGAS... I just want an OUTDOOR venue.... Which cancels out Great American...It doesn't have retractable room and it rains like a mother in Cincy... Would an INTERNATIONAL Mania be out of the Question? WM21 in Toyko? (What time is it in Toyko at 7 American?) Didn't PPV's used to start at 4 P.M in the old days?
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted July 21, 2003 It was reported a few weeks ago, that the WWE was preferring to have the Manias get the arena set-up, while the Summerslam PPV's got the dome treatment. Mania XX - Madison Square Garden. (confirmed) Summerslam 2004 - Skydome (confirmed). ...in my eyes - Mania XXI - Ford Field/Bank One. Summerslam 2005 - Alamodome/Astrodome. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Again...Why have Detroit for XX1? Save it for the 20th Annerversery of WM3. When was SKYDOME confirmed? and WHY? They have have 2 Mania's... As Superdome or TWA ever had one? I'd rather WMXXI be in an more EXOTIC and unconventional location the a MLB stadium... Why BankOne? There are OTHER domed venues around... Guest bravesfan Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Again...Why have Detroit for XX1? Save it for the 20th Annerversery of WM3. I didn't see that mentioned at first - you're right, though - XXIII would be the best venue for a Detroit Mania. When was SKYDOME confirmed? Confirmed by Meltzer. The WWE will hold a press conference today at Staples to make the first public announcement. As Superdome or TWA ever had one? Could the Superdome be filled? TWA is a good selection, while Georgia Dome is a bit unlikely to get the "Big Two". A few Rumbles and Survivor Series there, perhaps? I'd rather WMXXI be in an more EXOTIC and unconventional location the a MLB stadium... The awesomeness of SafeCo/Astrodome begs to differ, though. As asked earlier, the "exotic" Mania would not work, if only for the time difference and the requirement that the show be pre-taped ala Summerslam 1992. Why BankOne? There are OTHER domed venues around... It'll get Summerslam 2005, most likely. I forgot that it was a domed stadium (with retractable roof). Retractables are the stadiums you should bet on getting future shows.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Well Yes Of course... Exotic could be MEXICO CITY...same time zone...I'm sure they have a Big Soccer Stadium around some where...

Why not just make the announcment when you were in Toronto? Not HAL LEE WOOD. 3. Superdome? Unlikely...TWA is the same size as Astrodome but thiner... 4. Yes...Safeco and Astro dome were great but I was just thinking 3 Baseball parks in 4 years (Astro, Skydome, Safeco) was over kill... 5. I don't know why you are HARD on that 2005 will have Bankone... Guest bravesfan Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Summerslam. Bank One is in Arizona (as is AWA for this year's show) Just throw out a suggestion here - I'm simply thinking along the lines of how Vince's crew would think. I was thinking Alamodome, but that's WAY too big.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 21, 2003 They have Summerslam IN Arizona this year already... Why go back? two years later in the SAME town? If you want HOT LOCATION...Florida/Carolina/Hawaii are there as well...

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Ford Field is not as big as the Silverdome. The one question I have is whether or not the Silverdome is still up. If Vince wanted to do another mania at the Silverdome he might be forced to do it for WM 21, since if it hasn't been torn down yet I can't imagine them taking 5 years (since Ford Field opened) to do so. And, I know that the All Star Game, which started at 8pm (give or take) was on at 9 am in the morning in Japan (it was watched by more people in Japan than in the US) I doubt Vince would do a tape delayed PPV in the internet age although 12 hours might be too short of time to ruin it via the net. I can't see them not doing big Domed venues for Wrestlemania. When did Summerslam become the BIG PPV of the year? Its always been no more than #2..
