This is where you can let out all the frustration you've been feeling to Triple H.  Anything negative against HHH is game(no pun intended) here.

HHH is awesome because he's THE GAME and he's buff and stuff and everyone should respect him because he came back from his injury and he should win the WWF Title and everyone who accuses him of using backstage politics is just jealous because he's fucking Stephanie and they just fuck their hand while watching Chris Jericho matches, who sucks because Jericho is a bad wrestler and was carried in all his good matches and was never over and Stephanie had to join with him to give him any heat, so that he would be over enough for HHH to even sully his hands by beating Jericho, who isn't worthy of even jobbing to TAKA, who was put over by HHH, by the way, so people shouldn't say that HHH never puts over anybody, because he put over TAKA.

HE IS THAT DAMN GOOD!

The pose he does just before he eliminated Angle from the Rumble looked so bad that I burst out laughing when he did it.

I used to like him in 2000 because he was actually good, but now he is slow and lethargic.  Now he's using a political ploy to rid himself of Austin and Jericho (two of the best in the WWF by far) so he can be in the top spot of the company.  He's pissing me off royally, and I knew that the nWo would be a bad move coming in.  Hogan fans can kiss my ass, because Hogan's pops are nostalgic in essence, and they wont last.  Hall and Nash both aren't good and are out of their prime, so they should just leave too.  Fuck the clique.....

As I try to preach everywhere I go, why isn't this aggression pointed at Vince. Vince is the one who allows it to go on. Vince is the one who supposedly gets sweet talked into these political manueverings. You say fuck the clique, I say fuck Vince for allowing the inmates to run the asylum.

Or when he was in a Tag Match awhile back on Smackdown after he came back...

He can barely get his arms TO his head.

The pose of him in WWF Raw in the commercial for X-Box looks just like him... heh.

HHH is pretty bad right now, but he's still a lot better than RVD.

That's quite laughable.

RVD has been one of the most entertaining wrestlers since his inception into the WWF.  Triple H has been one of the most lackadasical wrestlers since his return to the squared circle.  I would rather see RVD in the spotlight right now than Triple H....

i'm not impressed by trips or rvd right now.  in terms of offense, rvd is light years ahead of trips (even though i think a lot of it looks superfluous & a little dumb).  in terms of actually working a match, trips is a little ahead.  if you're going to wrestle as a face, you have to give the crowd something to root for (and NOT flashy moves & high spots) and use psychology.  trips isn't where he was a year ago with psychology, but he's still ahead of rvd (and don't bring up that match on 'raw', i credit all the psychology in that to storm).

the thing that bothers me most about trips right now is his wind.  he gets tired too easily now, & ends up being dead weight.  rvd, as far as i can tell, doesn't have this problem.

"ECW mutants, gotta love em..."

I never saw RVD wrestle in my life before the InVasion angle.  I only watched ECW one time before the InVasion.  And I still say he's better than HHH

Hell Tazz is better than HHH

HHH used to own.  Now he sucks.  Will he own again?  I hope so, because when he owns, he really owns.  However, he does not really *need* to go to his previous state of ownage because he's going to get pushed even if he gets as bad as Giant Gonzalez because he's giving the bosses daughter the hot beef injection.

I agree with the Yodeler's last post for the most part.

RVD is better than HHH NOW.  HHH was better than RVD in 2000.

I disagree with the RVD is better then Triple H comment. You are looking at them in terms of right now (at least I am assuming you are). Look at their careers in retrospect and I think that Triple H is better all around. Then again, I am a Triple H mark and have never been fond of RVD, so take my opinion for what it is worth.

Sounds like there are a bunch of bandwagon jumpers here. A lot of you have said that the man sucks but that he was great before he was injured. Is it to difficult to say that he sucks now? Do you think that he will always suck? Are you refering to his wrestling or his backstage manner?

Oops. I forgot that I was not allowed to read this thread.

I think Triple H is better. He';s always had a flare for laying out matches, and the only reason RVD is probably being seen as better is because he's more exciting and moves faster. But unless RVD is willing to give up a little flash in his style for some long-term selling, he's not really going to improve. I mean, he can hit this stage where he's really the same wrestler he was in ECW except a little less daring, uses a smaller offense, and generally punches and kicks more (which is the WWF style, which is understandable why people think he's improved so much). RVD also has the highpoint of being a good fit for the style (like Angle), which gives him all the much more advantage. But Triple H can lay out a match as good as RVD's, it's just that in the execution Triple H has problems because he's not as mobile, and not as fast. But they're about even now given that handicap; but if Triple H gets back to form I'm sure everyone will be back to creaming their pants over his workrate (45th in the world, pretty good).

hmm...RVD vs. HHH.

This thread seems tailor made for me.

Here's two things that I should state as what I beleive as fact before dissecting this:

1.  HHH was (up until the injury) a good worker who put out some great, dare I say classic...matches.  The last 2 years WWF MOTY had HHH in them IMO.  When HHH was good, and a heel...there wasn't anyone who was a better or more complete package in the company.

2.  RVD is not now, nor has he ever been a good worker.  He has flashy moves that get the crowd into the match...but he's not a good worker.  He's better now than he was at this time last year...but he's not a good worker.

So who is better, right now?

Let's see.

RVD's matches have certainly all been hotter than HHH's. (And this is not disputable...as simply WATCHING the matches since HHH's return...you can HEAR the difference between the crowd reacting to the matches.  RVD's are hot...HHH's are very quiet.  They don't even pop for his high knee...)

At this stage in HHH's...um...comeback...it is needed for him to be carried.  I'm sorry...but it's true.  His opponents (Angle and Jericho) since his return have had to walk him through the matches.  There is nothing really wrong with having to be carried...hell RVD needs to be carried too...or all his matches would be a huge disaster.  The question breaks down to:

RVD vs. HHH...who is more capable of being carried right now.

And I have to go with Van Dam.

Before you scoff it off as anti-HHH, pro-RVD...let's take a look.

The last few ppv matches from RVD:

vs. Taker, vs. Goldust, vs. Regal.

None of those were great classic matches...but honestly...

none of them were as bad as the usual Taker, Goldust and Regal matches.

they all hovered around decent to pretty good.

and RVD also had the kick ass Raw match with Storm...who would be the best worker of the 4 named.

Now HHH:

vs. Angle, vs. Jericho.

Now wait a second.  Angle and Jericho are real good workers.

Angle was busting out **** Kane matches...and basically was mr. workrate.

Jericho has been good (with the exception of the merely decent match with Austin (the beginning of the un-motivated Austin run) at No Way out) since No Mercy 01.  He's slowed up a step and has been very good in the ring.

The Angle vs. HHH match was horrible.  Over-booked.  THat probably isn't HHH's fault...unless they over booked it to protect HHH's slowness...which is possible.

Jericho vs. HHH was...well...HHH didn't actualy DO anything in the match.  Jericho busted ass to make him look good...and the video evidence shows...it didn't work.

HHH and Angle did have a far better match the night after No Way Out.  The match was better than any of the three RVD ppv matches...and I probably couldn't pick between that and the RVD vs. Storm match.

So I'll put them about even in ability to be carried.

But give RVD the nod...because people are actually in to the matches.

And by people...I don't mean you or me...I mean the people in attendance.

I agree with you bps.

I was looking at this in an over all context though. People tend to be judging the wrestlers for what they are doing now (which is okay if you are talking about current situations). When someone says that someone else sucks though, that seems to take that persons entire career into account. I do not think that anyone can say that Triple H has sucked his entire career. The man ruled in the year 2000. He will work his way back into form. Sooner rather then later I hope.

I don't really think RVD is a bad worker, that is very debatible.  Wrestlers each have differant styles.

If we are talking all time:

HHH is heads and tails better than RVD.

Being an RVD mark...I am aware that he isn't a good worker.  But I am entertained by his act...but I never forget that it is just that...an act.

Although I don't partocularly hate Trips, Scott Keith made a great point on his Wrestlemania Rant.  He basically said that HHH has been back full-blown for over 3 months, and he hasn't had a great match yet.  He's running out of excuses.

I'm beggining to think that HHH has lost the edge he once had. he doesn't NEED to be good anymore he's garunteed to be a huge star as long as he's fucking stephanie darling.

HHH's work as a face blows, i thought his face run in DX blew too, he's tailor made to be a heel from the way he wrestles, the way he talks, right down to the way he looks.

I just don't see how he is a bad worker.  I mean, with some guys, such as Hogan, it is obvious.  But not with RVD, you couldn't really tell if he was trying his best unless you were in his head.

rvd is hot right now because he's doing flashy moves that people haven't seen before and he's still kinda new to the fed.  people are cheering him the same way and for the same reasons at they cheered the hardys in 98 and 99.  look at what happened to them.  they had no psychology to backup their high spots, and once their spots wore thin, people turned on them.  now they bash them all they can and want them all to be fired.  RVD has hardy boy heat, and pretty soon those moves will become commonplace and boring, just like the hardys, and in a few years you'll all most likely be bashing him for the same reasons you bash the hardys.  unless he learns some real skill and psychology, he can just look at the hardys and see his future
