Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted July 19, 2003 IWA Puerto Rico had a new show on the Sunshine Network last night. It was decent, but nothing special. Did anyone else catch it? I liked the main event between Apolo and Balls Mahoney, mostly because I liked Apolo's look back when he was in TNA. Plus, you can't beat a fed where SAVIO VEGA~! is the figurehead owner. Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted July 25, 2003 I actually caught the IWA show this weekend on one of my local channels that shows NWA TNA and XPW. I saw the cage match between Balls and Apolo. It wasn't the greatest match I've ever seen, but I haven't seen either guy fight in a long time. It was definately watchable though.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted July 25, 2003 It's on a local channel here as well, but I usually forget to watch it. I missed the Balls/Apolo match on this week... but I did get to see Abyss (now in TNA) work a show a few weeks ago and discovered that he is actually a pretty talented big man afterall. Guest Markingout Report post Posted July 28, 2003 It sucks. Mehish is an understatement. I didn't watch this week, but last week it was a crap 20 mintue 4 man hardcore match which was just hits with soft weapons. Victor The Body Guard vs One Man Gang... YOu can amagine. OMG knows about 3 moves :| Victor is fat and both men don't know how to even do a good School Boy. The cage match wasn't watchable it sucked it was like 20 minutes of the same crap over and over. The crowd was dead,Balls tried to get them into it. But the chick outside the cage was pretty fine, they always had a view of her ass on Camera
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 28, 2003 Heres my Match Reviews:- Hardcore Title Match: Zaruxx © vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. New Yorikan Baldie vs. Shane: Ugh. Zaruxx is a mummy. Nuff' Said! Shane hammers on the mummy Zaruxx to start. Baldie & Zaruxx with a double back drop on Shane and the mummy hammers on him. Dreamer stalls for a while, while we get some choking. Baldie pisses off Dreamer so Dreamer nails him with a series of hard rights and sends Baldie into the buckle. Shane with a back drop on Zaruxx and Dreamer pummels him. Dreamer slams a trash can lid on Zaruxx and Shane uses a cookie sheet on the two heels. Zaruxx no sells while Dreamer nails Baldie with a box fan. Baldie wears a trash can and Dreamer nails it with a cookie sheet. Dreamer says hello to a trash can while a bunch of nothing happens. Dreamer grabs a security railing and suplexes Baldie onto it, bending it on impact. (Commercial) We're back and they show the replay of the suplex on the rail. Dreamer grabs a ladder from under the ring and hammers the champion with a trash can. Shane with a baseball slide on the trash can into Zaruxx. Baldie sets the ladder in the corner while Shane blasts Zaruxx with a chair. Dreamer is whipped into the ladder face first and more nothing happens. Zaruxx gives Shane a seat, and Baldie with a suplex on Dreamer on two set up chairs. Shane off the top rope on Baldie for two. He wedges a chair between the ropes but does a running charge right into it. Baldie nails Zaruxx with a chair by mistake and covers for three at 12:56. Zaruxx is eliminated. Dreamer with a cookie sheet shot to Baldie and we head back into the ring and Dreamer with a baseball slide into a stop sign into Baldies face. Shane goes to the top rope and Dreamer buckles him, then flips him off. Dreamer with a DDT on Baldie gets the pin at 14:27. Zaruxx is allowed to compete still as long as he leaves the ring and comes back. Shane in the ring comes off with an elbow drop on Dreamer for three at 15:22, and runs like hell to escape to, I guess get the win. 1/2* That was a major cluster-fuck. - Victor The Bodyguard vs. One Man Gang: Parental Discretion advised for this match. Please be blood. Gang pummels Victor on the outside, and they brawl around the security railing. Gang shaved his head and seems to lost a little more weight. Gang slams Victors head into the table and nails him in the head with a ring bell, busting him open already. Camera fades the blood out on close ups. Finally back in the ring and Gang continues the clubbing forearms to the head. Whip to the buckle, and Gang with an avalanche for two. Gang with some choking and more punching. (Commercial) One Man Gang has Victor flattened out. He charges in the corner and misses an avalanche, and Victor rolls him up for three at 5:51!!! DUD After the match Savio beats on Victor with a baseball bat and Gang with the 747 Splash. Shane makes the save, and nails a drop-kick to a chair into the match of Gang. - Cactus Jack vs. The Patriot: YES! Cactus hammers the Patriot to start and beats on him in the ropes, sending him outside and comes off the apron with a running elbow drop! Patriot up and connects with a back suplex on the exposed concrete! Into the ring, and Patriot hammers Cactus and connects with a running clothesline and a back drop for two. scoop slam by the Patriot and he comes off the top rope with a missile dive for two, but a bunch of guys come in to pummel on The Patriot for the DQ at 1:50. *. BOO! Jobbers try saving the Patriot, but no save. They try removing his mask but here comes Conan The Barbarian and The Handsome Stranger to make the save. BOO!! - Steel Cage Match: Balls Mahoney vs. Apollo: More Parental discretion. Ugh. I hate steel cages. Balls attacks from behind with some rights and a head-BUTT. Balls with a series of jabs to Apollo and he misses the big wind up punch and Apollo with his own and repeat. Apollo with a drop-kick, and Mahoney comes back with a back suplex. Apollo eats mesh and Mahoney bites. Repeat the next few minutes. Apollo is split open and we get a rest hold. Apollo hulks up but is slammed back to the mat. More cage eating. Running elbow drop by Mahoney gets two. Running clothesline by Balls and he leg drops the crotch of Apollo for two. This match sucks. Apollo sends Balls into the cage several times and connects with a superkick for two. (Commercial; Thank God) Top rope super-plex by Apollo gets two. Apollo hulks up from a powerbomb and nails the rock bottom and loses his tights a bit. Apollo heads to the top rope and decides to go to the top of the cage and he comes off with a guillotine leg drop for an eventual two. Balls is hanging on Apollo for dear life and he posts him. Second rope Michinoku driver by Mahoney but he misses a top rope elbow drop. Apollo climbs to the top of the cage again, and escapes for the win at 15:27. -*** That was the WORST Cage match ever. It was TERRIBLE that week, I didnt even watch it THIS week.
