Guest ErekT2k Report post Posted July 22, 2003 This is kinda big news- I got this from the sportingnews.com It's in the exclusive audio section but I think most people can read it: Robert Pugsley, law professor at LA's Southwestern University School of Law, tells Chet Coppock why reports that Kobe Bryant's alleged victim recently attempted suicide could force the prosecution to drop charges. I'll wait til more sources report this but this caught my eye when I was browsing through the sportingnews website. Kinda big news. If she did recently attempt suicide, the prosecutor, Mark whatshisname, should drop the charges. Otherwise he'd fight an uphill battle from there. It's not as if she's doing this out of the kindness of her heart and to get Kobe off the streets before he "strikes again." Her machinations will be revealed soon enough. This wins most ignorant post of the day hands down. Going by this theory, why is sexual assault even a criminal case? Why not just have it be a civil case? Because we all know that any woman that accuses a man of rape is doing it for the sole purpose of making a profit. As for the whole O.D. situation: As much as it goes to show she is unstable, it also goes to show that she has self esteem issues. And people with self esteem issues can easily be taken advantage of.
