I was on-line and um...y electric shut off and I put it back on and I turned the CPU back on and um...Like you know those ICONs or pictures or whatever (I am *THE* computer know nothing) are GONE. So scared as I was...I hit those three buttons that make the Windows Task thing come up and I go to NEW TASK and thus I can Open Up AOL and other shit but I can't get that front page to go back and thus I have to search what I want instead of just having that said ICON there to click on... What Do I do...I mean the Screen is blank with just my LOA Background and the little Minimiized Icons at the bottom... Help Little Dumb Me... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Guest Insane Bump Machine Report post Posted July 21, 2003 1. download TweakUI: http://download.com.com/3002-2341-2830963.html?tag=dir 2. unzip it to a folder 3. Go to that folder, right click on tweakui.inf and click install... 4. Go to your control panel. You can go there by using the windows explorer (win key+E) 5. Start TweakUI from there 6. Go to the Repair tab 7. Choose 'repair icons' and click 'repair now' You can repair other stuff with it as well, it's pretty self-explainatory (sp?). If that doesn't work, tell me and maybe we can figure something else out. Edit: You could also manually make new desktop icons for everything, but that will be a pain in the ass.
