MI-5 on A&E

I watch A&E occasionally and they've been hyping the hell out of the show. It looks pretty cool and theres nothing else on new tonight (tuesday) at 9 pm, so I think I'll give it a watch. Radio ads have been comparing it to Alias/24...I like 24 and I've seen Alias a couple of times but I never really got into it as much.

I just hope they realize that 9pm on tuesday is 24s timeslot. I doubt there are enough eps of MI-5 to last until October, but anyway..

The commercials have me interested as well. But today I read that the show has been heavily edited for American viewers which then dulls my interest back down. I'm still trying to decide if I should watch it or not.

Its originally from over here in Britain, where its called Spooks. I only just caught on to the show in the middle of its second series and I have been highly surprised by its quality. Don't know how exactly they'd cut it for American audiences though. Seems like US TV moguls don't give the US watching public nearly enough credit, as I don't see how Americans would find it hard to watch a clearly British production. I would have thought it would come as a welcome slice of diversity.

I'm intrigued enough to watch, but I'll probably catch the immediate replay at 10.

It was a good show.

It's worth me watching again next week. I mark for British mysteries / spy shows anyway.
