The Decemberists Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Edit: We released a couple of players, none were really a surprise, I know Forest and Leciester released a load, any who'd realistically do a good job for us bearing in mind a commanding CB is what we really need. Don't know about Leicester, but no, none of the Forest releases are worth picking up. Chris Doig is much much more than capable of playing in League 1. If we had ever played him at center back rather than left back he'd be much more highly thought of. He'll be a hell of a free signing for someone. You're probably right about the rest though... although Gregor Robertson might come good in a few years, it was probably unfair to stick him in the team in the situation we were in.
TheFranchise Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Our history's full of legends, And football played on high, The names Carter and Doherty, Made all opponents cry. Now we all just love football, But will we lift the crown, The noise goes up, the Rams come out, Onto the hallowed ground. Steve Bloomer's watching, Helping them fight, Guiding our heroes, In the black and the white. For all teams who come here, There's nowhere to hide, Everyone is frightened, Of that Derby pride. The rams just play football, That make our heart so proud, Macfarland and Hector, Names to thrill the croud. And if you love or hate us, Depending on the score, When the boys come out, at kick off time, How the mighty roar. (croud noise) The Rams are a coming, we're out there to win, Playing like heroes, They won't let 'em in, Home sides be wary, Of our heart and our soul, We're searching for glory, And victory is our goal. Yes, you have to wonder what Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho are going to make of Steve Bloomer's Watching blaring out before every match next season.
The Decemberists Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 How on earth we're accused of living in the past when Derby sing have songs about Steve Bloomer I really don't know
The Decemberists Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Quite right to - Prutts is back, what further garantee of three points can there be than having an ex-Forest player in the team!?
TheFranchise Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Quite right to - Prutts is back, what further garantee of three points can there be than having an ex-Forest player in the team!? Depends how fast he's driving away from Southampton. *whoosh*
TheFranchise Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 D-Day minus 2 and I'm still not nervous It's the same day as our game?? Interesting.
TheFranchise Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 You need a point against Man United and for Norwich to lose away from home - it's hardly impossible.
TheFranchise Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Especially considering the Cup final coming up..
The Decemberists Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Don't worry about it. The Premiership's for losers anyway... as is the CCC now that I think about it. You're better off without it, honest.
TheFranchise Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 I'm not watching or listening, i'm watching the Sky Sports videoprinter. Johnson's gone off on six minutes?
PLAGIARISM! Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 You'll love league one. It's physically impossible, if you have eleven men, to finish lower than mid-table.
TheFranchise Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Bolder on for Smith at half time, it looks as if he'll go 4-5-1. Oh man, away from home. How are we going to get a goal?
TheFranchise Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Yeah, up front on his own. No matter how good you are, you don't play a 5 foot 5 player on his own up front.
TheFranchise Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Oh well. Best get the censors ready for when Van Halen comes online.. 45 minutes til their do or die game with Man United.
TheFranchise Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Remember.. All they need is a draw and a Norwich loss and it will be enough.
TheFranchise Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Southampton are winning and Norwich are losing!
TheFranchise Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 And United are level. Where is everyone!!
Guest MideonMark Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Horsfield scored with his first touch for West Brom. Fulham 3 Norwich 0. If results stay the same West Brom are staying up.
