Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Perhaps the best way to keep the Kane storyline going is for him to take on HBK at SummerSlam. With Goldberg/HHH as the RAW ME you can save the eventual RVD/Kane showdown on PPV for a PPV that will have a harder time getting a good buyrate. HBK has traditionally been able to great matches out of big men, and Kane should be no different. Plus, Kane crushing the marks' beloved legend would push him into to such monster heel territory that the face who puts him down is immeaditly brought back to HHH/Goldberg levels and is in line for a title shot, regardless of past history. Off-Topic: Lind McMahon's new music sucks more then "WrestleMania" How did they do it?
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Not going to happen. They are going with Orton vs HBK at SS. That's what HHH and Orton hinted at during the Evolution promo and that's why Orton interfered in the Jericho match. Plus it was reported in the Observer about a month ago that they want HBK to work a program with Orton around this time.

Thanks for nothing, though.
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted July 22, 2003 He obviously thinks that you're wrong and that Orton is facing HBK, not Kane. Thanks for paying attention, though.
Guest Imarkout4chrisdaniels Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I think that Orton is definitely facing HBK at SummerSlam. They kind of teased that feud after Orton first cam back. He proclaimed himself the new Heartbreaker or something like that. Ioriginally thought he would take the IC Title from Book, but seemingly not now unless he beats him before SummerSlam. Guest JRE Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Orton/Michaels is a shoe-in. Espesically after the legend killer speech. It'll be Kane and Van Dam...I think a cage match is quite fitting. Or...ya know...Austin/Kane (or Austin/Jericho?)
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I can't see them doing Kane / HBK right now. I can see Kane beating RVD (after 'mini' RVD comebacks during the match and then Kane being the one that eventually beats Goldberg. This will then allow RVD to feud with Kane down the road and eventually win the title (meaning HHH doesn't have to do the job to RVD). Who knows if they will be able to keep the title off HHH for that long, but I can see the above happening if they can.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Randy Orton was the reason HBK / Y2J II was used for RAW instead of SS. Hopefully, Jericho will be Booker's opponent at SS.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Orton called himself the Legend Killer, he ran in and attacked HBK. He's either going to face HBK at Summerslam OR Face Booker T at Summerslam after blowing off a mini-program with Michaels en route. I think the HBK scenario is far more likely, with Booker-Orton to take place afterwards at Unforgiven. HBK-Jericho at Summerslam is possible too, but I think last night was the blow off to their mini-feud. As for "what should WWE do with Kane for now?" I have no answer. There are no high level faces in WWE for Kane to face, really. HBK is a part-timer not at all feuding with Kane or even close to it. If Austin could work Kane/Austin would make sense. As it is they've booked themselves into a corner. Either they're going to leave Kane off the Slam card after devoting a heavy chunk of TV time to pushing this angle, or they'll give him a half-ass last-minute opponent so he'll have a match. Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Well I guess Kane/RVD will be the match at SS. I hope it's a crazy hardcore brawl of some sort though. The sad thing here is that it's basically a must that they job RVD out in particularly violent fashion. At least Raw has some options provided that GB wins the title from HHH. I'm thinking Kane will beat GB at some point, and then RVD will finally be the man to take out Kane and slay the monster. HHH...not sure what he would be doing. Getting married to Steph I guess, heh.
